Advantages: NIce coverage

Disadvantages: None

I have always been a big fan of the Olay products as I've used it now for years. My mum used it before me so I think I was just following in her footsteps like most young girls do.

Olay was first produced in South Africa. It has been a Procter and Gamble product since 1985 and became one of their Billion dollar brands in 2003. Apparently the name Oil of Olay was chosen by the producer (a chemist called Graham Wulff) because it was a spin off of the word Lanolin which was the key ingredient.
Lanolin is used in the production of many cosmetics and lotions etc perhaps it is easily absorbed by the skin. It actually comes from wool bearing animals such as sheep and is secreted from their glands. (Eww, when you actually think or read what goes into make ups and lotions etc you would never want to use them!!)

Olay has come a long way since the early days when it was just a pink liquid in a jar. It now has expanded into a range of other products and the product I am going to review now is their new Complete Care Touch of Foundation. I have never tried any of their makeup products before, just their skincare products but because this is a moisturiser as well as a foundation I was pretty sure it was going to be of good quality.

New Olay Complete Care Touch of foundation is a daily moisturiser with a touch of max factor foundation. It is supposed to enhance skin tone and even out your complexion.

The bottle looks very much like a moisturiser, not really like a foundation. The liquid comes out of a nozzle at the top which has a pump action. The liquid to me looks exactly like foundation, the same brown colour liquid and has the same consistency as foundation.

However, when you put it on it's a different story. Sometimes I find with regular foundation that it doesn't go on that smoothly but because this Olay foundation has moisturiser in it, this liquid goes on just like a cream so you can really rub it in very nicely. It gives such a nice covering as well because the cream is helping it to even itself out over your face. Olay say that the moisturiser is hydrating and I would definitely have to agree with that. It gives you 24 hours refreshing moisturisation and has skin pampering vitamins in it so it's also good for your face to use this liquid.

What I also like is that it gives a very subtle colour, not like you've got tons of foundation on your face which I don't like at all, it really gives you the natural. I think this cream is going to be perfect during the summer when you want a light look on your face but nothing too heavy. It contains SPF 15 as well so it's perfect for a light sunblock too.

The foundation comes in three different shades, fair, medium and dark so there is one for every type of complexion which is nice. A 50ml bottle normally costs £9.58 at Boots but currently there is £3 off so it is only £6.58.

I love this stuff - it is perfect for Summer when a full face of foundation is just too much! Great review c

Thanks for this. I've seen this advertised and wondered whether it would be as good as it sounds.

I tend to avoid wearing foundation as I've got very dry skin so this sounds perfect for me x

That might suit me as I don't like heavy foundation.
