Advantages: A lot in the bottle
Disadvantages: Did not suit. Really irritated my skin
I bought 'Olay Complete Care Touch of Foundation' for £9.99 from Tesco. It had been reduced in price, which is one of the reasons why i bought it. The other reason was because i always use Max Factor. I have sensitive skin, which can become very dry, and i find that Max Factor is the best make-up for me to use. I moisturise twice a day, and thought that this product could also help in that process.
The bottle does contain a lot, even though it is not a big bottle. You only need a small amount each time you use it.
The first day i tried it, it went on really well, as it basically is moisturising cream with a touch of foundation, so you don't get the 'tell tale' marks of foundation on your skin (or around your neck or jawline!).
I did notice that towards the end of the day red blotches were starting to appear on my cheeks. I did not think anything of it, as it was not irritating and i had been in the sun. I thought that i had caught some sun on my face.
The day after that i again applied the product in the morning. About half an hour later i started to gain even more red blotches on my face and it was becoming itchy. I went to have a look in the bathroom mirror and my face was just red, blotchy and really, really itchy! When something like this does not suit me the first thing to start irritating me is my forehead, and boy, did it irritate!! My forehead was so itchy that i had to stop myself from scratching it as i didn't want scratch marks on my forehead!!!!
As soon as i washed my face and applied my normal moisturiser, the itcheness subsided, and at the end of a couple of hours, my skin went back to it's normal colour!
I told a friend about what had happened to me with it, and because she was going to buy a bottle anyway, i sold her the bottle for £5!! I saw her the next day when she had used it and it looked great on her! She now uses this product all the time.
I am not too sure why this happened to me with it, but it has actually put me off using any Olay product in the future. I continue to use Max Factor products without any irritation whatsoever!
If you want to try this product i would recommend testing this on your skin for a few hours first. The irritation did start with me on the first day, but i mistook it for catching a bit of sun!
Summary: May not be suitable for all. Give it a tester first
