Advantages: Light coverage, evens out skin tone
Disadvantages: None for me personally
Foundation? Yukk - I hate the stuff. Most kinds seem to make my skin feel claggy and horrible, they look totally artificial and leave me disappointed. I'd given up any sort of foundation for years. Until I tried this Olay Complete Care Touch Of Foundation.
I didn't go out with the intention of buying it, but I was shopping in Asda and it was on special offer for only £5. With the sudden spell of sunny weather (yes, we have had some) I'd been outside trying to get a bit of colour. Unfortunately this meant parts of my face had caught the sun too much, while the area around my eyes looked white by comparison. This light, tinted moisturiser sounded just what I needed to even out my skin tone.
There were 2 shades on the shelf, fair and medium. As I'd already got some colour from the sun I went for the medium shade, as the other one looked too pale for me. Immediately I got home, I wanted to try it out. The bottle has a pump dispenser, and when I first squirted a blob onto my finger I thought it might be too dark on my face. However as soon as I began to apply it, it blended in really well and definitely did what I wanted in making my skin appear smoother and more even in tone.
Coverage given by this product is very light. It does nothing to cover dark circles or blemishes, but if you only need a very subtle touch of colour then I have found this to be ideal. It has not irritated my skin in any way, and I've felt really comfortable wearing this. Most foundations make me feel like I can't wait to wash them off, but once I've applied this particular product I forget it's there. It doesn't clog my pores or cause my skin to get greasy. I don't wear it all the time, only for work or when I'm going out, but I am finding it a very useful thing to have in my make-up bag.
Olay Touch Of Foundation has an SPF of 15, so it does give you some protection from the sun and prevents my pink bits getting any pinker. There are 34mls in the bottle, and it seems to be lasting well. The main thing is that I'm happy with this product, and it won't get thrown away after a couple of uses like most foundations I've bought. I would be highly likely to buy this again, and it always seems to be on special offer somewhere!
Summary: A really useful product
