Advantages: Don't look like a battered wife!
Disadvantages: Ulay? Olay? Olaz?
They tell us it's back for this Autumn/Winter! Burgundy shades for lips and eyes! I never thought it had gone away.. I keep three basic lip and eye colours on the go every season. Brown/Bronze, Plum/Silver, Red/Gold. Always seeking the perfect one of each shade, so consequently, like many women, I have make up bags full of discarded eyshadow duos and lipsticks that never made the grade. Plum, burgundy, maroon; Whatever you prefer to call it, is a good winter shade to wear, but although flattering for some complexions and lips, it can be difficult to wear on the eyes. Too deep a plum round the eye can give the appearance of having done three rounds with Mike Tyson. Too pinky a pink, then people will avoid using the same hand-towel as you, in fear of catching the extremely infectious conjuctivitis. I believe I've found the perfect plum! Oil of Olaz, yes, that's what it says on the product box, Olaz, not Olay, not Ulay. Confused? I am! The Oil of Olaz dual cream eyeshadow compact, in a smart, matt black case with double ended sponge applicator is on the shelves. The perfect Plum/Rose duo is named Autumn/Winter. I like to emphasise my eyes and lips, as without either I look like a boiled egg, my eyes more so, as they can resemble raindrops in the snow. On a good day, when my eyes feel liddy, I apply a faint, banana shaped, well blended socket line with the darker shade, then highlight the eyelid with the paler tone. On a puffy day, I apply the darker colour to the outer edges, and the paler to the centre, making the eyes seem further apart and wider. Oil of Olaz, dual cream colour eyeshadow compact in Autumn/Winter is a rich browny plum, and doesn't give you the 'been in the ring' appearance, and the risk of strangers asking if you've walked into a door. The pink in the pallete is smoky, giving no hint of a contageous eye infection. The two sha
des blended beautifully and lasted all day without needing a re-application and stayed looking fresh. From one who has more colour combinations of eyeshadows in a bag than you can shake a stick at: A perfect plum for the 'new' winter look.
