I am a huge fan of philosophy and have tried most of their products by now.
When I tried this lip gloss, I had already tried their other types of gloss, the flavoured ones such as mimosa and Raspberry sorbet, and had liked them, so I expected this one to be the same. I was very wrong, it is very different. So much better!
I completely disagree with the other reviewer about this product. I thought it was brilliant, and really liked it. So much so that I repurchased it in another colour.
This gloss goes on very sheer, with just a hint of colour, which enhances your lips natural colour, gently. It looks a lot darker and stronger colour in the tube than what you actually end up with.
When I use it makes my lips tingle and definately plumps them up quite a bit, but not in a Lesley Ash kind of way. In also has a lovely minty flavour/fragrance and is very refreshing.
As I have said in other review, the packaging is very plain and basic, but thast shows they are spending the money they make on the procudt rather than just making it look pretty.
The testure of this gloss is what I liked most of all. It wasn't at all tacky, it was light and moisurising which can be very hard to find in a gloss.
If you do use this, or any gloss wihtout an applicator, I would suggest using a lip brush because it just makes it so much easier to apply and far less messy.
I would definately recommend this product and in fact brought it as a stocking filler at Christmas for my sister in law and she seemed to like it too, although maybe she was just being polite?
I'm not entirely sure about this lipgloss, I brought it as I was in need of a few bits and pieces for my make up bag and this one is cheap (I brought it for about £2) and it is pretty average, you really do pay for quality. One the plus side, it gives a very glossy, smooth, glass looking finish to the lips which does look very nice, and it is very easy to apply, it isn't too watery, it isn't too sticky, it just goes on smoothly and looks really cute. However it doesn't seem to say on the lips for very long, so i felt like i had to reapply it every 2 minutes, and the minute you have a drink, its literally all stuck to the glass and not to your lips. Also as it starts to dry up it goes quite sticky on the lips and dries out the lips a little bit. To summarise, this lipgloss looks really good for about 30 seconds, and then its just a bit of hassle. Just average.
