*Why did I purchase it?* I find with lip products there is so much to choose from but I end up always going back to glosses and balms. I find lipstick doesn't cut it for me in the staying power part but it doesn't stop me from purchasing them. While on the hunt for another balm/gloss I came across a brand called Pixi Beauty, who I had never heard about before and was intrigued to find out more. Pixi Beauty was founded 10 years ago by Petra Strand and her two sisters. Their small shop is based in London and this is where they have been based all these years. Petra is a makeup artist with over 20 years experience, and she likes to boast her knowledge of products with quality ingredients that can be found in her products. Pixi Beauty brands their products as fuss free, multi purpose and innovative formulas. *About Pixi Moisture Tint Gloss* Pixi Moisture Tint Gloss is described as glossy yet sheer pots of tint for the lips. This smooth balm adds shine as well as moisturising the lips with vitamin E, rich avocado oil, beeswax and is infused with peppermint for that fresh feel. It is great for natural beauties who want moisturising lips without compromising on colour. *What does the packaging look like?* Pixi Tint Gloss comes in a 7ml clear plastic pot with a matte silver lid with Pixi written in black on the right hand side. Underneath the pot you will see the name, number of the colour you have chosen and the ingredients, which is in very small writing. The pot is smaller than I expected but you need such a small amount the size can be forgiven. *What I thought of it* I got two in number 4 and 15. No 4 is very much a deep red with a little swatch on my finger the pigment is incredible with no scent; it feels very smooth and looks very glossy while feeling a little on the tacky side but not sticky. I was a little worried about applying no 4 due to how red it looks in the pot but I need not have worried as applying a small amount to my lips Moisture Tint looked sheer with a vibrant colour that isn't so in your face, it is lovely to wear in the day with minimal makeup and this and you can vamp it up for an evening. My lips are left with a lovely sheen; great colour that looks healthy and moisturised. No 15 is a lot lighter than no 4, it is a lovely warm brown, caramel colour that goes on the lips more sheer than no 4, it looks almost clear with a hint of caramel tint that looks expensive and polished on the lips, great if you are wearing a smokey eye or if you want a minimal look that looks polished. *How easy is it to apply and does it last?* You can apply this product two ways, with a lip brush or your fingers. Because it does come in a pot I find using your fingers is much easier but remembering to use a clean finger so not to contaminate the remaining product inside the pot, which bacteria can grow and can lead to cold sores. Because it is a gloss you don't need to use a separate lip liner although you can if you wish. Unlike glosses that can move on the lips and bleed due to them being runny I find this product clings onto the lips and doesn't budge while feeling soft, like all glosses it can transfer easily onto cups and when you're eating but I find if you're out and about or not eating or drinking the moisture tint does not move from your lips and when it does transfer onto cups you will find you still have the colour and a gloss although some has been took off. Out of all glosses and balms I own this product stays on the longest, you are talking hours on the lips without budging, which is fantastic for a tint/gloss. While out and about in the cold, wind and rain other glosses and balms I own have either rubbed off, disappeared or look a mess. This product looked exact the same as when I applied it, however in the harsh wind my lips did feel a little dry but not as much as other glosses would. For the price one might expect to get something tacky and awful to use, Moisture Tint is great quality for the price and not something I was expecting it to be. *What other colours can I purchase?* At directcosmetic.com there are nine different colours to choose from and this range from clear, pink, red and daring purple so there is a colour to suit every skin tone and preference. *Price and availability* Pixi Moisture Tint Gloss is quite expensive for what it is but I have managed to find it for and who I purchased it from for £2.25 from directcosmetic.com or £10.25 from asos.com (which is out of stock from 10 March 11) Pixi Beauty store in London prices may be higher. *What I think about it/do I like it* Even though I knew nothing about this range before I took a chance and glad I did. The range is lovely however they are expensive if you purchase direct from Pixi Beauty in London so I would shop around. I find Moisture Tint Gloss unlike any other balm or gloss I have ever used before, it stays put, the colour pay off is fantastic and it doesn't leave my lips dry after wearing it for a few hours. I have had both pots for a few weeks now and hardly made a dent in either of them as so little is needed; a product that is absolutely fantastic for the price and quality is great. *Would I purchase again* I am looking at other colours to purchase but I might give it a little rest as I have so many and the two I have purchased will last me a long time, I wouldn't have a problem recommending these to anyone.
