      Brilliance from Playboy again!

When it came to spotting this body balm I was instantly attracted to it. I like to add a bit of shimmer to my body for an evening out on the town and even like to use it as a highlighter on my cheeks when the mood so takes me and this priced at £4.99 in superdrug appealed to me due to me having a huge love affair with the Playboy cosmetic range of late.

Yep I love Playboy cosmetics though oddly enough not their packaging. At 35 years old I find it to be a bit immature and a tad to girly for me and that it really doesn't match up with the quality of the products at all though to be fair it isn't awful just a little on the immature side having said that it is robust, It's just personally I hate being seen with it!

      The Packaging:

The compact comes in a purple and bright pink coloured longish box that has a picture of a bunny on the front of it and I am told that it is indeed Velvet Body Balm 'Illuminating body balm' and the weight is stated which is 21 oz/6g. on the back of the box other information given includes again being told what it is, ingredients are listed and contact details for High Maintenance are also given (the manufacturer of the product). The compact itself is oblong and purple to the top of it with a pink rim on it and a picture of a bunny head in that same colour. The base of it is transparent pink and on the base of that I'm told the colour (which in my case is Balm Shell), the weight is again stated and again contact details for the manufacturer are given. The whole thing opens via it flipping open and closed with ease and then inside the lid there is an oblong mirror and to the base there is a round block of the colour and under that a white sponge applicator which is square in shape.

      Using it:

All you do with this is sweep the moist, iridescent colour with the sponge supplied. The sponge is a nice, robust good quality one that gently picks up some of the product and you apply the product where you want to glisten!

It has no smell to it and really does shimmer in a really pretty way. None oily it sort of sinks in/on to the skin and stays put really well for hours upon hours with no transference and to remove it you simply use make up remover or wash it off in the bath or shower.

I really like this an find it a really versatile product. Great to define my cheekbones with, great down my décolletage and on my shoulders I like the way it simply isn't fragranced and stays put really, really well.

I do worry aged 35 about appearing as mutton dressed as lamb but this can really be as subtle as you want it to be or as outrageous as you want to be if the fancy takes you!

A great product that lasts the course and I feel that once again Playboy products offer us excellent quality...for me though it's just a shame that the packaging isn't a bit more sophisticated!

Available in Superdrug stores and all good chemists, have also seen this available in T.J Hughes stores and online for as cheap as £2.99!
