I love these and intend to collect more before they go extinct!

Although it says in the product name Pout Lip Gloss, there are several types, Dooyoo just decided to rename it for me! I'm reviewing the Lipslick, which is in the picture.

Pout were a UK company who dealt in high end makeup with cute packaging and fun names. Note the past tense - they went bust! Their products are still floating around online though, a lot of which you can get a great deal for, and they are worth snagging before stocks run out.

I got my lipslick in a set from TK Maxx which had a lipslick, eyeshadow and eyeliner for £10. You can find Pout on most of the discount cosmetics sites online, the best price I've found for a lipslick as at www.buycosmetics.com, where they retail from £2.95, although at the time of posting this review, there were very few in stock, Pout fast becoming extinct and all. There are other sites which have them, and eBay is always a good port of call for their products.

This cute glosses come in a variety of shades (remember though not all are still around), with names such as Sexy Girl, Shy Girl, Spoilt Girl, etc. They range from light pink (Cute Girl), to brownish (Devious Girl) to bright red (Posh Girl).

The clear tube contains 4ml, and is roughly three inches long (going from memory). The lid screws on and is silver with a light purple criss-cross pattern over it not dissimilar to a pair of fishnets! All Pout products come beautifully boxed, this nestled in a cute dark purple and pink box (pictured). The applicator is a typical foam one, but seems to be "cleaner" than some I've tried, it doesn't leave gunk everywhere on the neck of the bottle when you take it out.

This stuff smells and tastes AMAZING! It's a caramel that to me is just like a toffee apple. You only need a tiny bit - the amount that is on the applicator when you remove it will be plenty, unless you're Angelina Jolie! The shade I chose (Sexy Girl - a mid reddish-brownish-pink...very descriptive I know but it was a really bog-standard lip colour!) is very wearable and has a subtle shimmer. It is however quite noticeable because there is also quite a "wet" look. It doesn't feel sticky at all, it has a thicker consistency than most glosses so it stays put without constantly rubbing and sliding against the gloss on the other lip, and feels quite nice to wear.

The gloss does stay put for quite a while. After eating and drinking you will probably need to reapply, but even then (and I put it to the cereal test which is not the driest, easiest food to eat with a gloss on) you will still have shimmer and a bit of colour, just no wet-looking shine.

I love this product because it gives a really different look - shiny and almost 3D rather than being all about glitter, to me it looks really classy and makes you look like you have really plump lips. Why oh why can't Pout come back?
