Advantages: Little goes a long way
Disadvantages: Initial time at consultation
Been through every single cheap foundation? I used to think buying Max Factor was splashing out and only something done when I really had cash! This was until my flatmate decided to update my make up buying strategies on my 21st birthday, by introducing me to prescriptives. The foundation price at first really shocked me, previously I used to spend £5 on a foundation so £22.50 felt a bit steep but I wear foundation every day and night so now 9 months on when I still havent had to buy anymore I recon it was quite a bargin. The sales staff were excellent and really spent time with me sorting out which colours worked and didn't, continuously asking my opinion on what I liked, didn't like and what I felt. There was no hard sell and I came out of the shop with a foundation I was completely happy with. The coverage is light to medium, although other foundations they produce are heavier in coverage if thats what you want. Its really easy to apply and lasts all day, with no need for retouching except if your going out in the evening. Even though its medium coverage, it will hide almost any blemish and also doesn't feel like a mask. My advice is to go see the consultants, see what they match you up with and try it. Small bottles can be bought for as little as £6. So update your make up bag and go buy!

- 22/04/03 Hello Nell, I was wondering where I can buy Prescriptives products in the UK? I am american and staying here in the UK for a while, I can't seem to find where Prescriptives would be here. Until I found these reviews I thought they were just in the US. :) Please let me know if you could! Thanks ( josie @ umm.nu ) |
