Advantages: Great coverage, Perfect colour match, Oil free

Disadvantages: Availability, Expensive

Finally, the search is over. It simply does not even bear thinking about the amount of time, effort and money I have sunk into trying to find the perfect foundation for my skin.

I am relatively fair - burn easily in the sun, and am very prone to spot breakouts and the marks they leave take ages to go away, so a foundation with good coverage is important to me, but so is not looking as though my foundation is 3 inches deep!! I have been through them all but Prescriptives is difficult to come by in Northern Ireland and even though I had been aware of its merits for a number of years, I had never quite got round to getting it because there is nowhere local that stocks it. However, after yet another waste of money on a different brand, my mother was going on a trip to Dublin, so I armed her with instructions and she came back with Prescriptives Virtual Skin foundation in the real ivory shade which is in the yellow/orange colour group. You are supposed to have a colour print done by the sales consultant, but my mother said that she was helped by a very well informed and helpful assistant who was able to recommend the shade and colour group from the information given to her, and when I tried it, it really was just perfection!.......

You need very little to get a good even coverage, and honestly nothing else I've ever tried comes even close to the effects this foundation has. I also have the camoflage cream and my skin looks flawless when I wear the foundation - the best it ever has. It is very easy to apply and as the colour is such a good match for my skin tone there is very little blending to do at the jaw and hair lines. It is also very long lasting and in my case it is on from 8.30am right through roughly to about 11.00pm and there is no dryness or wearing off in particularly oily areas of my skin as I had found with certain other foundations.

Even though it is quite expensive (I think roughly about £21 not too sure, because i
t was paid for in Euro) it is so worth it, especially when you weigh up all the possible disasters with trying other foundations! I would thoroughly recommend it to all those other girls out there, who are prone to oiliness, break outs, scarring etc. I am so pleased with it . The only drawback for me is the availability of it, but I am told that is available in most major department stores across the UK.

My goodness, it was lucky that the assistant came up with the correct colour! I haven't tried this, but really like Prescriptives Photochrome foundation.

This foundations sounds great, I've not seen it anywhere or heard of it before. I never really wear make-up as I can't apply it nicely and I don't like the feel of it on my skin.
