Prescriptives Magic Invisible Line Smoother really is magic in a tube! It has been around for several years, and has been copied by other manufacturers, but this one is the best by far. I have been using this product since I read a review of it in a beauty column in the Times by Nigella Lawson, (long before she became the TV domestic goddess.) and when I read her comments, I was dying to try it out. It was her weapon against lines and she described it to readers as if she was letting us in on a big secret. How good could it possibly be?!
The tube is small - 15ml and costs nearly £30, which seems very expensive, but a little goes a long way. The cream is colourless and translucent and feels silky on the skin. It is best to apply it by squeezing a little onto a clean finger and then gently smoothing over the lined area. It works by matifying the skin, so that light is not reflected and lines become less noticeable. I have found it to be very effective when used around the eyes and lips and on the brow area.
This product agrees with my skin and I have not had any problems with caking. The only disadvantage is that the effects wear off after a time, because we are smiling, frowning etc. It is easily re-applied and the small tube is great for keeping in a handbag and for travelling (which I do a lot.) I tend to use Prescripives Magic when I want to give my appearance a boost - going out in the evening, if I feel a bit 'on show', as it really does boost my confidence . It's an expensive product, but I think it's worth it.
