Advantages: Long lasting, nice range of colours

Disadvantages: Difficult to get the hang of using

I need lipsticks and like most ladies on here I look for a few things when purchasing a new product. Of course great colours is important but one of the most important things I look for is longevity. I hate having to reapply every hour or so and at the same time I don't like heavy drying lipsticks and I don't like anything too glossy and greasy all over my lips transferring everywhere. I know I'm really fussy but I'm willing to pay a little bit more for all of the above requirements but I do get fed up with spending loads of beans on crap in a tube that I only use once or twice and then it's gets thrown out!

I found this range of products in Boot's ages ago and I have seen it online in discount stores though no where else can I purchase it over the counter. Prestige do a range of all the products you could possibly need and it isn't a 'cheap' range but is nicely packaged middle of the range products. In the range stocked at my Boot's there are no outrageous colours but more traditional classic colours. A really nice range of products all in all.

The Packaging....

Very nice, simple and pleasing to the eye. The outer casing is plastic and it's all in the colour of your chosen lipstick. On it in silver fancy writing I'm told it's Color Seduction, Gloss Rouge A Levres Longue Tenge. You pull the lipstick apart to remove he lid which has Prestige written on it to reveal a see through dispenser of which you can see the liquid colour and how much you've used and how much you have left and the dispenser you use on your lips is a slanted white sponge. To use it you simply twist the bottom and the colour comes out of the sponge through small holes. No colour or weight is stated and it's quite plain but nice all the same.

Using It....

Well this isn't a lipstick in the conventional sense that you'd expect and it's nothing like a conventional lipstick you use either although billed as one. Firstly you have to be careful how much you twist out of the product because you can end up with too much product and once you've twisted it out you can't twist it back in again so you do need to go easy because of course you can always get more out but cant shove it back in lol It does have a slight cosmeticy smell to it but nothing too offensive and it doesn't taste at all. It's quite wet and thick in it's consistency and as you apply it does look a bit like glue so as don't be too heavy handed with it.

It glides on the lips and the less you use the better. It's very easy to define lips even though you apply with a sponge applicator as it isn't too big. However as I keep saying and this is important don't layer it on because it's very thick and very heavy and also use this on lips that are in great condition because if you have anything like a little bit of dry skin it really clings to it and makes it very noticeable indeed. The colour is incredibly visible and when applied correctly has a very good shine to it and appears like a lip-gloss and it kind of sets after a couple of minutes.

Lasting wise this is awesome. Do not reapply over some lipstick you have on already even if its the same lipstick cos again it gets really heavy. Also do not do as I did and decide to blot it with a bit of tissue cos it really gets stuck on the lips and the tissue is hard to remove! Once applied you can expect it to last about 3 hours and then it simply fades off over time and that's with eating, drinking and smoking and kissing and yes it doesn't transfer and/or leave clumps anywhere or collect in corners in the lips!

Overall....

This takes a little bit of getting used to. It is thick and there is no getting away from that therefore I can't recommend it for everyone though if you persevere this is a good product. It's a long laster when applied on the lips and in the tube and is easy to apply when using small amounts. Although it sets on the lips it's none drying and doesn't give any after problems. No horrible smell and no taste makes this a great product all in all!

I paid £8.00 in Boot's for mine and my advice is test before you buy.

Summary: I like it now I've got complete hang of it!
