Master the art of application and this is a great eyeliner for stunning eyes!

      Prestige Cosmetics

      Liquid Eyeliner.

I don't often venture down the make up aisles when in boots as I don't wear masses of make up and what I do use tends to stuff I've had in my make up bag for years. However I recently discovered liquid eyeliner. Having spent my teens, twenties, and thirties using eye pencils I felt that now I was into my forties I ought to try something new - ha! ha! It's more to do with the fact that I need to make more of an effort now and divert peoples attention away from those fine lines and wrinkles!!

I didn't want a black or brown liquid eyeliner and scoured the shelves looking for an alternative shade. It seemed, unless I wanted to pay lots of money, my colour choice would be limited. I eventually found the shade I was looking for with a brand of make up I had not heard of - PRESTIGE One stroke Liquid Eyeliner. Originally an American based cosmetics firm, they now sell products across Europe. The company sell 9 shades of liquid eyeliner. My review is of Le -06-icon.

LE-06-ICON is a shade of metallic purple and looks fantastic with shades of blue / brown or mauve. The 10cm tall bottle is the same colour as the liquid eyeliner and cost me £5.49 from Boots. The bottle of liquid is only about 4cm high and contains (don't blink) 1 floz or 3ml - the other 6cm of the bottle being the brush.

The lid unscrews easily to reveal the small brush. I was hoping this would be easy to apply. However I was disappointed to find that the brush was not flexible and although had a very fine 'nib' it was more like using a pencil to apply the liquid. It has taken me a few weeks to get used to using this with out making huge blobs under my eyes and I certainly can't apply it in 'one stroke'. I now keep a supply of cotton buds to hand in order to correct any mistakes and to save me going out looking like a clown.

Would I recommend this product - yes.
Although it has taken a while to master applying this product, the colour is lovely (just what I wanted), the liquid is smooth and silky and lasts well. Several people have commented on the colour, which I take as a complement. It is more expensive than many brands of eyeliner, but I suspect that this will last me for quite a while.
