I love wearing nail polish, particularly deeper shades such as burgundy, plum and 'blood' red shades. Whilst wearing these sorts of colours can offer some instant 'glam' to my otherwise plain-looking hands, I do find that removing such 'robust' colours from the nails can be a time-consuming process that becomes much messier than when removing paler or more neutral shades. When using nail polish remover products that are liquids, these tend to soak easily into the cotton wool pads that I am using to remove the colour from my nails and I find the liquid can drip and run easily from the cotton wool, taking the removed nail colour with it, which can often result ... While on a weekend away I decided to paint my nails but, silly me, I didn't take any nail varnish remover with me. As so often happens, after I put my nail varnish I didn't let them dry long enough and consequently totally messed them up. I ended up with lumpy, clumpy, not very well painted nails which I had to put up with since I had no way to remove the varnish. The next day I went to Superdrug and bought a nail varnish remover called "Pretty Quik" which claimed on the tub to be a "manicure on the go" and an "instant nail polish remover". - - - The Packaging: - - - "Pretty Quik" comes in a ... 'Pretty Quick' nail polish remover is a great idea. I don't often wear nail varnish but I do sometimes apply it for special occasions and when on holiday. I have some movement problems with my hands so this way of removing nail varnish is the best method I have found for myself. I find that liquid soaked in cotton wool doesn't work for me. I keep scrubbing at the polish but not very effectively and it takes ages to remove from the awkward places. Also this method can be messy. And what a small it makes! I have tried the pads in the small tubs but find these, too, are hard work. Also they dry up very quickly. Pretty Quick really is a quick and ... Read the complete review

I am always scratching and chipping my nail varnish and constantly need to refurbish it. I have tried those little round pads in a flat pot but I don't like the feel of them. They seem to almost grate across the nail and leave it very dry. The stuff in bottles is cheap but not convenient to carry around and finding cotton wool balls is not always easy. So, when I can across this idea on an online travel gear website, I thought it was worth a try. Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish remover comes in a little plastic tub with a screw top lid. Inside is a sponge with a hole in it. The smell is not as strong as traditional mail varnish remover ... Read the complete review

Isn't nail varnish great! I love it! I love it so much I have an entire shelf in my house dedicated to a whole spectrum of them. Never does a day go by when I don't have varnish of some description on my toes, and rarely (although for the sake of the health of my nails, I do try to sometimes leave it of) is it off my finger nails. Don't get me wrong, I don't have those long scary nails or anything! No, my nails are nice and short (I wear contact lenses and play the guitar so they HAVE to be short), but I do like to keep them looking clean and smart. I can't bear a ragged nail, and don't even get me started on nails that are not all of identical length! ... Read the complete review
