Bargain product for every make up bag!

As my other reviews inform you all I'm quite new to this cosmetics business but I'm learning at a fast rate!
I discovered Primark cosmetics whilst rummaging around in my local Primark-and I'm glad I did.
Some cosmetics in my opinion are the same across the board you just pay for fancy packaging and I think highlighters come under that catergory.
I bought a lovely bottle of liquid highlighter for 50 pence-a bargain where can you purchase cosmetics you can use for that price?
The product is easy to apply, not messiness or waiting around for a layer to dry etc etc. You apply it simply to the area you wish to highlight (I blend with my fingers, some don't like this approach but it has worked for me!). This highlighter creates a nice pearliness to matt eye shadows too-if you dab your finger in a bit of highlighter and carefully apply it over the eyeshadow-but not too much or else you've just have shimmery eyes with not much colour coming through.
The packaging is very simple-what you pay or it what you get. The product does what it says on the tin. This product is easy to apply-and blends in well into foundations/creams etc should you wish to apply it over a product.
My only issue is I haven't seen this product back in Primark since I picked it up at 50 pence, does that indicate it has been discontrinued?
Another great find is the 'tint' they sell too-I purchased 3 bottles of the stuff at 50 pence each.

      A brilliant little bargin buy

Im a big fan of Primark and even more so now that they have started selling make up. Im in there quite a bit and when they first brought out their make up it was only sold in the larger stores, but now all the stores have it.

They have all the basics like mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow and most of the stuff is really cheap so if its not brilliant its not a waste of a lot of money. Anyway, i was soo excited when i heard a rumour about them selling a highlighter, similar to Benefits High Beam. I managed to get a bottle that was priced at £1, but when i got to the till the lady told me it was only 50p! This is by far the cheapest i have ever paid for make up and i certainely wasnt dissapointed.

It comes in a small glass bottle that is see-through and it has a black screw top lid. Its a little 15ml bottle and has Opia face highlighter written on the bottle. The lid has a little brush attached to it that is used for application, like the way a nail varnish bottle is. The product is a bady pink colour and it looks a bit glittery but isnt as obvious when its applied. It doesnt smell very good, dont really know what it smells like but its not a usual make up smell anyway. You cant smell it when its on though so its ok.

Because the brush has been in the bottle for ages, theres too much product on it so i would advise that you use your fingers or a make up brush to apply it or you might end up covered in it. I was really surprised when i applied this as only a small bit is needed and it does make you look a bit healthier. Its not a miracle worker like High Beam claims to be but it does give a nice highlight when applied to the right places and your face has a bit of a healthy glow. It dries really fast though and you have to be quick to rub it in or else it goes a bit white and flaky if you put too much on one bit. Iv found that the best places to put it is on the cheek bone and carry it on along a bit on to the eye socket, under the arch of your eyebrow and a small bit on the inner corner of your eye to make your eyes look brighter (this is especially good when you have a lot of eye make up on). Its a bit more glittery than High Beam but dont let that stop you from getting it as you cant notice the difference when its on.

        Worth buying!

I onyl started using highlighter a few years ago and got sucked into buying Benefit's miss popularity for quite a high price. I loved it, it worked well and of course the packaging was gorgeous. I used it sparingly though as I did not want to run out and have to invest in some more!

I was browsing the shelves in Primark, as I do quite regularly, and I stumbled acorss their make up stand. I had heard they had started doing make up so I decided to have a browse through and see what they have on offer. I noticed they had a pink pot of highlighter reduced from one pound to fifty pence and I decided that for that price I just couldnt go wrong, I just had to try it.

I added it to my bill and hurrdly took it home to try and compare. I figured for that proce if it was rubbish I could just chuck it in the bin.

The pot is quite large and contains a lot of pink liquid. The lid is black and easy to screw off, giving a brush (like a nail varnish brush) dipped in the liquid. I applied the liquid to my face in the same places that I would do with the Benefit powder. My first instincts were that I had applied too much as it needed some rubbbing in, so be prepared for that when you apply it, less is more!

The liquid did not irritate my skin or smell offensive, which is a massive bonus for a cheap product.

The final product was shiney and glowing and lasted as long as my foundation. It didnt have the extra pzazz that you get with the benefit product, but pound for pound there was no question that this is better value!

        Cheap and cheerful!

Everytime I go in Primark, which is a LOT! I always notice the make up's been reduced or on sale so I stay well clear. My opinion is if it's £1 then reduced to 50p, its basically cheap rubbish.

Im addicted to liquid eyeliner, I've worn it everyday since about 16, so I've tried a lot of different brands, found some good and lots of useless ones. As I'm wearing it through the day I need something thats going to last all day, not leak or crack.

Whilst shopping in primark one day I realised I'd run out of eyeliner and was going out that night and NEEDED some more QUICK so due to convenice I went to look at primarks. It was a £1 and the only thing that made me decide to buy it was the nearest boots was 30 minutes away. So I picked it up and decided to give it a try being an emergency and everything.

Wow, I honestly didn't think It would be soooo good, The brush Is thin, which makes it easy to apply and the eyeliner dries almost instantly to avoid smudging. It looked no different from the eyeliner I'd used before, However later on in the night it begin to flake of in bits and I had to keep re appying, and this product is not waterproof, but what do you expect for a £1, apart from that it was fab! A bargain buy!

A big thanks to Foxyred for introducing me to Primark Make-up.

It wasn't until very recently, thanks to "foxyred's" great reviews, that I became aware of the fact that Primark sell toiletries and make-up. Although they have quite a good range of make-up items it did take me a while to find the make-up stand, hidden away in amongst their many stands of clothes, but I am so glad I did.

Primark's make-up products all come in little sealed clear plastic bags with the product information printed on the top of the bag where it is then hung onto their make-up stand. Nearly all items in their make-up range are priced at £1, except for the odd couple of bigger items, which are maybe £2 or £3.

The first product in their range I wanted to try was the Liquid Face Highlighter. To be quite honest, at first glance I thought this was nail polish. The highlighter comes in a 15ml bottle very similar in look to that of a nail polish, a glass bottle with a black screw top lid to which is attached a brush, identical to that of a nail polish, in fact when I first applied this product, I did actually do a double take, just to make sure I wasn't about to apply nail polish to my face!!

The liquid highlighter is a lovely pale shade of pink with a slight sparkle to it, not a glitter, just a subtle shimmer. The liquid itself was quite thick and creamy. I applied a few dots to my cheek bones and temples and blended it in to my skin with my fingers. The highlighter smoothed into my skin very easily and blended well with my natural skin tone. It dried into my skin quite quickly leaving my face feeling cool and moisturised. I loved the look once applied, it gave me a lovely, natural looking healthy glow. I have quite a pale complexion naturally and can often look a bit ill, but this liquid highlighter worked wonderfully helping to give my face a subtle natural glow and at the same time bringing my skin to life.

That healthy glow lasted all day with only one small application in the morning and come night time it was very easy to remove with either soap and water or make-up remover pads. Great results from only a very small amount.

          ==Ingredients==

Aqua, Butylene Glycol, Polyethylene, Paraffinum Liquidum, Dimethicone, Laureth-7, Stearic Acid, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Mehtylparaben and Iron Oxide.

Nothing too hazardous and another thing I liked about this product was the fact that it had no scent at all, so no high content of fragrance.

This product should be used within 6 months of opening and, to be quite honest, I really think it will last the 6 months, because a little really does go a long way and gives great results.

A super addition to any make-up at an even more super bargain price of £1!

            Brilliance!

Are you yet aware that Primark does make up??? Well I certainly am! In fact they have been stocking a large range of make up in my local store since it opened but recently they have added absolutely loads to the range and as you can imagine it really is flying out of the store as most of it is marked up 99p a piece (in fact I've seen nothing as yet above that price) and in alot of cases you get 2 nail varnishes and 2 eyeliners for that price as well (usual sizes too).

I however need no make up but I can't resist buying the odd item at the prices they are offered at and have found I've been really able to update my look (and keep looking glam and bang on trend) on the cheap! I absolutely love this range for as I say updating my look, keeping to my usual staples (No7 and Urban Decay etc) and then buying up to dates colours to mix and match with what I already own. When the colours are off the cat walk, or no longer 'trendy'.... so what I can bin them and buy more at this price!

            The Packaging.....

The product comes in a hanging white and clear plastic bag. On the front of that in black and orange writing I'm told it is Primark 'Essentials' Liquid Highlighter 'Designed To Give You A Glow'. On the back of the bag contact details for Primark are given, size is stated (0.52Fl.Oz/15ml), ingredients and cautions are listed and finally there is bar-code on there. The bottle is glass and again on that in orange and black writing I'm told what it is and the size is stated and the lid/cap is white opaque plastic and it simply twists on and off and contains a black good quality brush on the end of a clear plastic 'wand'. In it's appearance it sort of resembles Benefit Moon Beam stuff or whatever it's called (personally I've never used it) and I do like the see through glass jar it's in as I like being able to see the light shell pink coloured product through it to see when it needs replacing etc. It does however look like a cheap bottle however it is functional enough and after-all it's the product that counts rather than the packaging it's in!

            The Product....

Simply a real find! I can't believe this only cost me a quid and gives the results it's does! It's simply fantastic, works and creates long lasting, lovely effects and is incredibly easy to use.

All you do to use this is untwist the lid and you are met with a runnyish mixture (though it has body to it) and it is coated with the light pink glossy liquid that has no smell to it at all. All I do is simply blob a small amount onto my cheeks (where I want to highlight of course) and then blend it in either with my fingertips or a cosmetic sponge. I do this immediately rather than letting it dry in and just gently blend it into my skin which is does with ease.

            Results....

Amazing as I have stated before! It really does highlight where you want to in a quality and subtle way but one that can definitely be seen giving the mentioned 'glow' which is a sort of shimmery white colour. Once applied it stays doing it's job until you remove with no irritation, no clogging and although it's a highlighter it really doesn't highlight things you don't want to see. Subtle but effective I would seriously suggest you buy this and try it out for yourself! It's great on it's own or used in conjunction with blusher to contour the face with and it is also easy to remove when you want to remove it! All round greatness but be warned I really think this product is going to catch on and become a sell out product so grab one while you can!

Lasts ages because you don't need very much and as long as you seal the bottle properly it will stay fresh for ages as well!

Only available in Primark stores costing 99p.
