      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great product that is cheap and doesn't take up too much space in your make up bag

Primark seems to have a huge sale on cosmetics and I'm not sure if that's because they are discontinuing the products or just trying to shift loads of stuff-whatever the reason it has given me the perfect opportunity to purchase loads of different products at 50 pence each!
Tinted Love highlighter and cheek gel usually retails at £2.00, and comes in some very funky, retro inspired (think batman comics) packaging. The names of the products are simply quirky (Tainted Love=Soft cell classic, Tinted Love=Primark product). The item container is pleasing to the eye too.
The product is duel ended-one side you'll find the pearl like highlighter and at the other end of course you'll find the reddish-slightly pink cheek gel. The product doesn't throw any surprise punches-it's easy to apply (I of course blend with my fingers which I find it the easiest way to get the most of of highlighters).
The gel and highlighter and non-greasy and the layers can be built up (although I'd recommend you allow layers to dry in between layering). I did find that I couldn't get the right amount of gel out with the applicator-this could be just be though I doubt it's a product fault.
The highlighter is great for 'highlighting' the cheek bones and even on the eyes (although you should avoid getting any cosmetics in your eyes!). The gel is great on the cheeks and on on the lips-I applied it over lipbalm-and it gave a slight tint. This is not how the product is recommended for use-however for 50 pence I thought I would experiment.
Removing the product was easy too-baby wipes did the job (and so did a basic make up remover).
I've not tried any top brand highlighters/cheek tints however I found the quality of this product very high-and even at £2.00 it was a bargain. It takes up less space in your make up bag too.
If you love trying products and can get to Primark, try and get hold of this you'll love it too.

        An ok starting product!

I love Benefit but at this time of year I can ill afford to buy myself any at all! I would love some Benefit Moonbeam and stuff like that and have looked at it but decided against such a purchase for the time being or Santa won't be arriving for other people this year!

However I am aware of other products trying to offer the same as leading at brands and at £1.99 for a double ended product (reduced to a pound in most Primark stores) I simply had to give it a go!

        The Packaging:

Well the tube of product comes in an oblong plastic and colourful box type of thing and on that I'm told of course that it is Primark 'Tinted Love Highlighter & Cheek Gel' and then you get the tube of product as I have just mentioned.

The tube is actually two tubes and attached to a silver centre piece. On that centre piece I'm told again what is and who it's by, I'm told to use it up within 12 months of opening it and contact details for Primark are listed. You get two screw on/off ends and one end has a transparent cherry red liquid in it and the other end has a pinkish coloured looking shimmery gloss in that and attached to the centre pieced (I mentioned earlier) there is an applicator that goes into both, the highlighter has a white, angled sponge and the cheek gel has a small brush to use.

        Using It:

Well it's completely up to you how you choose to use this of course. Use it on naked skin, over make-up whatever!

You can use the cheek gel or highlighter on their own or put together.

Me, I personally choose to use both at the same time and easy to use and subtle these really are.

I choose to use the highlighter which is a slightly shimmery liquid to highlight my cheekbones in the main. I simply add a dash to my face using the given applicator and then blend it slightly with my fingers. It doesn't smell at all, isn't sticky and really is only slightly shimmery and contains no glittery bits. I like the results achieved with this but I put emphasise on 'subtle' for a reason....it Trula is.... but you can build the colour intensity up with this if you take your time. I've found it none transferable once on my face and that it stays put delicately all day long and removes with ease when I want it to. Yes it gives very slight results indeed but they are there.

The cheek gel is a sort of a gloopy light reddish gel. Easy to apply though once again, none fragrant and none sticky I have to build the colour up gradually with this. The brush you can apply the product ok with but for blending it's pants as it's so small but again I'm happy to use a finger or another sponge applicator. One swipe of application with this doesn't really give any colour at all but like I say I'm happy to build up the colour up and what is good about this is that it gives a radiant glow to the skin opposed to a stiff block of colour and it creates a dewy look. Also although it is a wet substance it doesn't mess with foundation by lifting it up or anything else.

Subtly is the key with these products and me, well for day time use I rather like that and you can use them for that with ease. Hard to create a lot of definition with though so I wouldn't use them for evenings out but they are mega easy to use, comfortable to wear and do give very pleasant and light results! They haven't upset my spotty skin either and I do recomend these for someone just starting out with highlighters or blushing products!

Only available in Primark stores and in one set of colours as far as I'm aware.
