I had heard a lot of good things about these brushes, and with them being not being made from real hair, this pleased me also.

If you search Pixiwoo on youtube, you will find nnumerous videos from 2 sisters, name Sam & Nic; Sam is the creator behind these brushes. Considering they have a massive following online you can imagine this following has followed through into their products. She has designed the brushes herself and put a lot of impact into how she wants them to be and how to work them with makeup.



Core Collection

This particular product consists of 4 key 'core/face' brushes. The pointed foundation brush I feel is too small for foundation, however it is PERFECT for under eye concealer products; as the pointed tip is ideal for getting right into the inner corner. The buffing brush is the new foundation brush for a lot of people, it's great at really blending and buffing the product into the skin. The contour brush I'm not using all the time currently as I haven't found an adequate use for it currently. They advise it to be used for contour, however I feel it's a touch too small; so I have been using this for cream blushers at the moment/ Finally the detail brush is more suited as a lip brush I would say, however I don't use lip products, so this isn't fully neccessary for me at the moment.


Price & Availability

Currently these are only sold in Boots and this item from the range is £21.99. Personally I would begrudge paying these types of prices for brushes, but at the end of the day I belive that other high end brushes can be more exspensive just for one. So the fact your getting a set of 4, including a nifty travel holder is good value


Overally Opinion

Overally these are great tools, they are exceptionally soft, and even once I washed them they was still as soft afterwards; and they also don't seem to shred either which is another added bonus. Also a nifty little design is that the larger brushes have a flat base which allow you to stand them up; personlly I don't like this, I'd rather they be smaller so that they fit better in my makeup bag and brush holder.
