Advantages: Pigmented
Disadvantages: Little small, don't last 12 hours without a base
I have this quad in Sultry Smoke. I swapped it with a lady on Make Up Alley. I was quite excited about receiving it because I do love a smokey eye (as most people do!)
The quad is tiny. I thought it would be quite large and was quite disappointed at the size of it. I use it a lot anyway, regardless of the size.
Sultry Smoke is all the colours you'd need to create a dramatic smokey eye. There's a black, a dark grey, a dark blue and a very light purple. The formula is very good. There isn't any fall out when applying it which is really good for a black eyeshadow.
The pigmentation is the surprising part. I thought for a low end brand, that this Revlon eye shadow quad, would be basic pigmentation, as most others I've tried have been. I was pleasantly surprised. Pigmentation on these quads is amazing. Not a lot is needed especially with the black shades.
As for staying 12 hours, as other reviews have mentioned, there's no way you're going to be able to wear them for that long. You will definitely need an eye shadow base to ensure they last for the time you need them to. I use them with Urban Decay Primer Potion and they last for a really long time. All the colours compliment eachother.
Overall i'm really impressed with them. When I purchase eye shadows, I don't buy them for the staying power, as I do use a seperate base. I buy them for the pigmentation, and the Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eye Shadow Quads really do not disappoint. I'm currently saving to get the rest of the quads especially the brown and neutral ones.
I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone.
Summary: I'd recommend them definitely
