Advantages: More color choices, easier to use, nice finish

Disadvantages: Bulky, inpractical, not easy to use

I've read about all the benefits of mineral makeups all over beauty magazines. Makes me wonder, does it really make your skin better? coz everyone said that it actually good for your skin and you can go to sleep with it. Tempting, right?

well... I have to try it if I really wanna know. Revlon actually the second brand that I bought. The previous one is from another brand that I wasn't so happy about. Limited color (I bought the closest one to my skin, still no no), and whats up with the brush! please, is it because the brush came for free so they can make it as harsh as they want? I mean, when I put it on my face, I use the brush and working with circles like what it says. But the brush! I can actually felt its hurt. But I kept using it, until its empty. I was sooooo glad that I finally did used it all.

When I saw Revlon Colorstay Mineral foundation commercial in a fashion magazine. I decided to get this one too. I was suprised when I saw the color choices available, I think about 8 choices and I found the one that fits my skin perfectly!

Compare to the previous one, the design of the packaging is better, ergonomics must be one of their main concern. I mean, I dont need to open the bottle, lift the cap and turn it around. This one, all I have to do just open, turn and use.

The brush is also more wearable (still, not as soft as if you get your own brush), at least it doesn't hurt me. I can feel its a bit hard but acceptable. The smell is almost fragrance free (maybe it is) and the texture is so soft. With cheaper price for 0.35 Oz and contains SPF 10. Revlon definietly beated my previous one (it was Loreal).

I like the way it feels on my skin and it aso make it shine free. Almost velvety looking. It cover my flaws quiet nicely so I dont need any additional foundation. I can say money well spent on this one.

Of course, there's down side too. I dont like the fact that most mineral foundations comes in powder and brush. It is so inpractical for me. I mean, I can't do touch ups anywhere, I have to go to the ladies to do so. Sometimes it also makes some mess on my shirt. Not to mention that it makes my makeup bag bulky. Like it or not, I do prefer my compact.

Another thing is, even it came from "Colorstay" range of revlon, it wasn't last that long. After 3 hours, you can see its almost nothing on your face. So, you have to do some touch ups again (which is not so easy to do). The last one is that, you really have to work with the brush around your face, otherwise, you can see clearly the uneven spots on your face.

Summary: good buy, good choice for anyone who prefers powder and no additional foundation needed.

I do like minerals foundation but like you say, the mess it can make on your clothes is a problem.

Nice review, although I don't need this as my complexion is naturally beautiful...
