Advantages: good coverage, handy brush

Disadvantages: not natural looking.. i prefer liquid base foundations

Since the rise in mineral foundation products been sold, more people are purchasing them due to the majority of manufacturer claims that they are not just 'any' old foundation, they actually improve your skin rather then make it worse like some products which have caused people to have break outs and other various skin problems.

I always wondered what the Revlon Colorstay foundation was like due to the numerous advertisements on the product when it initially came out.
Liquid foundations are my favourite, I'm not so keen on applying foundations that are powder or compact crème ones because they are difficult to blend in so I was a bit curious on whether this foundation would be just as hard to apply as some of the other powder foundations I have used in the past, I decided that I may as well give it a try and put aside my thoughts on powder foundations.

The foundation is £12.71 from Boots it is in a pot with a fairly large black lid, when you unscrew the lid you will see there is a brush with the product, so you can just dip it into the bottle and apply it to your skin.
This is a really good idea because instead of having to carry around a large foundation brush in your bag you can just carry the foundation and there is a cute little brush inside... not a bad idea at all!

Although, I did find this foundation a lot more easier to apply then the previous foundation I had purchased I still wasn't too pleased with the whole look of the foundation. It looked quite cakey and definitely didn't give a 'natural glow' because it is a very matte foundation due to it been powder.

The foundation has a good coverage, a lot better than the foundation I use on a daily basis but I would prefer it to look more natural.
I would say this foundation is average, I definitely wouldn't purchase it again because I have dry areas on my skin which really stood out when using this product but the fact it has a brush and blends in better than the other powder foundations I have used compensates for this.

The colorstay foundation is great for those people who have bad skin because it has a good coverage, it is also good for those who have oily skin because it gives a matte finish rather than a dewy look.
The foundation comes in various shades which makes it a lot easier to find a colour that is suitable to match your skin tone. I chose "Medium" as I have fairly tanned skin which suited my skin quite well.

Summary: ok i guess..
