Advantages: Stays on and doesn't go dry
Disadvantages: Haven't found any so far
Finally! A lipstick that does actually have staying power AND a decent colour range. Just about every makeup manufacturer is making some version of a stay-put lip product. But apart from Avon, this is the only one I have found that pretty much lives up to its advertising blurb. And Avon's colour range is abysmal.
An added bonus here, is that it is not a double-ended product, nor, like one brand, does it entail the use of two separate tubes - colour and top coat. That means you get more actual colour for your money, and there's no fiddling with different ends or having to fit two products into a tiny evening bag.
Back to the colours. They're split more or less into a nice selection of reds, pinks and burgundies. If you want light coverage, just apply one coat, or if, like me, your prefer more depth, add a second coat.
It is tacky when you first apply it and I would recommend staying away from eating or drinking anything until it is fully dry, for maximum staying power. Another benefit with this product is that unlike most of the others, it doesn't dry out your lips and go "hard" and flaky. Anyone who has tried the competitors' products will know what I mean. This one stays pretty soft and is easy to touch-up if you feel the need.
And on the subject of how long it actually lasts. I think they are being a little exuberant with the advertising. I find that after a morning at work, drinking coffee and eating a sandwich, by lunchtime, it does need a very minor top-up, just along the inner edges. Though, to be fair, you could probably get away without it.
Price-wise, at around £8.50 (depending where you buy it and what promotions are going) I'd say it's on a par with the other similar brands on the market, and, given how long it lasts, possibly better value for money.
Overall, I have found this to be an excellent product and I'll be continuing to use it.
Summary: Long-lasting, non-drying and worth the price.
