When it comes to lipsticks/glosses or anything else I feel the need to add to my made up face I make no bones about it I hate it! Of course being a girly girl I do use them but I really don't like the feel of them as a rule and the only one I tend to favour is Maxfactor 'Lipfinity' although saying that even that can go crummy and lumpy on the lips if your not very careful. Lipsticks and glosses I feel come off far too pronto and I'm not at all happy at having to feel the need to re-apply ten ton of gunk to my face every 2 minutes! However as I say I do buy them, do use them.... I'm just reluctant!
However I saw this lippie priced £6.99 in T.J Hughes and almost bought it. However I didn't and I walked away from it and continued looking around for make-up bargains and I bumped into the same thing in a pound shop in exactly the sort of colour I like to wear! I purchased it and couldn't believe that result lol.
See through long plastic tube (you can see the swirly two tone glossy looking lipstick through it) and at the end a bright silver long lid that twists on and off and contains a long 'wand' with a very small brush to the end. On the tube I'm told in silver contrasting lettering that it is Revlon 'Midnight Swirl' and on the back contact details for Revlon are given and the recycle symbol is displayed. This is a very nice looking lip colour though I did notice no colour is stated on the tube which means say I wanted to re-order this colour when I run out from somewhere it could be difficult to do so!
The Lip Colour....
Ok so all the tubes I have seen are two tone when you look at the tube. In my case as an example I'm looking at a burgundy colour entwined with a bronze glitter colour in a swirly pattern. When you go to use the colour both of those colours blend well as the you pull the wand out making it even and your ready to use it!
Not alot is on the brush and I have noticed that the colour doesn't ever drip or go up the 'wand' which means it's fuss free and unmessy to use. It has a lovely fragrance of fruits of the forest to it but has no taste thankfully.
Applying it is simply a breeze. It's incredibly glossy without being too greasy. It evenly distributes itself and if you want a soft look simply apply to the lips and go or if you want a harder look you can use a lip liner to define you lips. It takes seconds to put on and shimmers lovely and this is a cross between a lipstick and a gloss. It doesn't feel heavy, doesn't give a trout pout and lips actually feel moisturised with this on.
You can apply and go as I have said but do realise that although it looks quality and glossy you will get a little transference and it is a tad sticky, though I can bear that. However you can use it, blot and re-apply or re blot (though the results arnt so striking) and it will stay put longer.
I'm quite addicted to using this now and find if I use it and go it's stays put on my lips for about half an hour but if you kiss someone do check them over before they face their public! Blotted etc I get about an hours wear. Sure I'd like longer wear to be perfectly honest with you but with ease of application, the way it makes lips look and feel (I got heavily complimented whilst wearing this by my ex lol) I don''t mind re-applying it if necessary!
Do look out for this 'on the cheap' and look at online discount stores to make savings. It's a real bobby dazzler is this ladies!
