This is my HG concealer at the moment. I'm such a Revlon nut at this point that my daily routine is the PhotoReady primer and concealer, Colorstay Whipped foundation and the CS pressed powder as well. (not to mention eyeshadow and lip color, but the face makeup especially is my favorite!) The PhotoReady concealer does it all with it's excellent coverage and creamy formula. I use it for everything which I used to use separate ones for different areas, but this conceals my ghastly undereye circles, evens out redness around my nose and conceals any blemishes and scars. It never turns muddy and stays put all day. The packaging is not my favorite, it's easy for it to break off. And if my skin is particularly dry, it can cling to patches but just be careful and that shouldn't be an issue. A little goes a long way too so even with how often I use it, I can make one tube last awhile. I heart you, Revlon I use this for my under eye area and some other blemishes and this works amazingly well. It has a slight shimmer but i don't think this won't be a big problem after you set it with a matte powder. Its not drying at all, and it has a typical concealer scent. Overall, i really like this product since its very light on the skin and does not caked up during the day. Will definitely repurchase it works wonders on my skin
I love this concealer. I found that it had great coverage for my under eye circles which i really do not get on with. I am very pale, which makes my under eye circles even more visable and i often find it hard to find a good concealer that is lighter than my skin tone. This one is a great highlighter and good for a day when you have a few blemishes but don't need a full face of foundation or for the extra bad days where you need a bit more coverage over your foundation, whichever works for you.
It is a great concealer that doesn't overly highlight your blemishes and there is a reason it is called photo ready as most other under-eye concealers/highlighters make your under eye are so bright in photos!
Love this product so much. A good dupe for benefit fake-up which a £18 isn't in everyone's budget!
I bought this concealer because I own a lot of liquid or pen type concealers but wanted something in a stick format for easy, on the go touch ups. Following on from my success with the Photoready foundation I picked up this concealer hoping it would be just as good and as Revlon is one of my favourite makeup brands.
The light colour is slightly too dark for me to use on my under eye area, however this isn't a bad thing as I found the texture of this did not work well on the under eye area. I found the stick to be quite dry and waxy as opposed to creamy, which is good for covering up spots and blemishes as you can get it exactly where you want it. However, on the under eye area I found this to be very drying and settled into any fine lines under my eyes.
It offers great coverage, making it ideal for covering spots, but I would recommend this for covering dark circles, which is more important to me as I have quite profound under eye circles. However, I have found a very good use for this - instead of bringing a bottle of foundation out with me on a night out - I just take this and apply to any areas where I need a bit more coverage and blend with a makeup sponge. Perfect looking skin and takes up less room in my bag!
I bought this concealer because I was in desperate need of a concealer ... ANY concealer. When I was in Boots I noticed that Revlon had a 3 for 2 and of course naturally I had to make use of this offer. I don't know why I was just drawn to this concealer ... I guess it was destiny! I love this stuff!
This is priced at 6.49 in Boots. This looked quite pricey as you only get 3.1 grams of product but I would recommend that you wait until there is a 3 for 2 on Revlon -which you don't have to wait too long for as there is almost everyday a 3 for 2.
You get 3.1 grams of product and when I saw the tester in the store I immediately thought 'Oh boy, this is gonna run out soon' but I have to say, a little goes a long way!
I think the packaging is quite handy and practical. I have never owned a roll up concealer before so it was some thing new. Some people may have some problems with using the concealer stick directly on the face and any blemishes as it is quite unhygienic. To overcome this I just rub some on the tip of my fingers and then tap it on any blemishes.
One of the downside of this is that it doesn't come in many shades. It comes in Light, Light/ Medium and Medium. Which is quite disappointing. Luckily, I was able to find one that suit me perfectly.
The product itself I love! I didn't think I would like because I have very dry skin especially around any blemishes. However, I thought that its summer and I think a stick concealer will be better and it is. I originally just used this for my under eyes. I chose a colour that was only one shade lighter than my skin so it didn't really brighten my under eyes. On blemishes its a whole different story. The texture is quite creamy and think so when you put it on a blemish it won't budge or move. But you have to be careful as the texture is thick if you don't use it properly it can look cakey! As I said I have dry skin and it works perfectly and I seriously this will work even better on oiler skin because its so thick and creamy. Oh I forget to say it has SPF 20 which is always a bonus! ^.^
-Great for blemishes
-Good price especially with 3 for 2
-Has SPF 20
-Doesn't come in a variety of shades
-Not that amazing for under the eyes
I love this product and I think its great for all skin type and will cover any imperfection that you may have. I really recommend you give this a go, you won't be disappointed. Will I but this again? Hell Yeah!!
I don't blemishes as much as I used to when my skin was younger. I do get the odd one popping up however, especially if I've had my make up on for a long time and so, although a concealer isn't the most important item in my make up bag, I still need one there. My choice was the PhotoReady Concealer.
What does the product do?
The product promises to hide your imperfections such as blemishes and to camouflage your dark circles to leave your complexion looking healthy and awakened. It apparently contains Photochromatic pigments which reflect and diffuse the light, brightening the area where it is applied giving a soft and luminous finish. The product claims to have a soft and creamy texture which will blend seamlessly into the skin. The product has been tested under the harshest lighting and high definition conditions and it contains a SPF of 20 to protect the skin from the aging effects of sun damage. It is both oil free and fragrance free.
The product doesn't come in many different shades. You can choose between light, medium and light/medium which definitely won't suit everyone but suited me because I have pale skin. I chose the light shade.
How do you use the product?
The product can be applied directly to the skin although this can be unhygienic. It is better to dab a clean finger onto the skin and then onto the blemish or imperfection. It should be dabbed onto the area and then blended in. It can also be applied onto the skin beneath the eyes to hide dark circles and carefully patted into the delicate skin. You can use it alone or on top of make up as a finishing touch.
Packaging and Price
The product comes contained within a rather classy looking black plastic tube. It is slanted at the top and it has white writing across it. The product is protected by a clear lid so that you can carry it around with you in your bag. The concealer will cost you £6 and it can be bought from stores such as Boots and Superdrug, large supermarkets and also from a range of online websites.
Application and Performance
The product has a really creamy consistency compared with other stick concealers that I have used which is a good thing. It is very pigmented and you can tell straight away that it will give full and good coverage. I have tried the product on one of my blemishes and it covers it fully and completely. It blends well into the skin and it matches my skin tone closely so you can't see it on my skin at all. I also used it to cover my freckles just to see how well it would work and I had the same results.
When used as an under eye concealer this fails massively. I wouldn't use many product other than my YSL Touch Eclat for this purpose and I bought this Revlon concealer for covering blemishes but I gave it a go with my dark shadows beneath the eye. It covers the shadows well to the point where you can hardly see them anymore. After a short while, the concealer dries on the skin, becomes quite chalky and settles in the fine lines and wrinkles beneath my eyes, highlighting them and make them look an awful lots worse than the dark circles did.
The product hasn't caused any blemishes to develop on my skin. I can't comment on the sun protection element of the product as I haven't worn it in the sun yet but I think an SPF in a product like this where you are only applying it to small areas of the face is a bit silly as you will end up with uneven skin colouring. The product lasts a couple of hours but touch ups are required. This is easily done and the lovely packaging looks nice so I don't mind being seen using this by my friends. It is easily removed using my usual make up remover.
All in all, this is a good concealer which hides my blemishes well and matches my skin nicely. It has a creamy consistency which makes it easy to apply and it will stay put for a couple of hours. As an under eye product, this fails miserably and highlights my fine lines and wrinkles. Younger skins may not have this problem! I will carry on using this as a blemish concealer but it won't be going anywhere near my dark circles.
Just recently I have been sorting through my make up. I want a nice, clean make up bag with essentials in it and a never fail kit instead of drawers full of stuff rotting that I never use! At I am approaching 40 rather quickly now I thought it was about time I got my act together!
One thing I never really use is concealer. I've bought the odd one in the past and never really bothered with them however I do still suffer with the odd spot and blemish and have shadows under my eyes and lots of open pores on my face so when I was in Boots and just mooching about I was looking at the Revlon makeup as I had a £2.00 off voucher I could use and so when I saw this smart Revlon Photoready Concealer that has a usual price of £6.49 I decided to try it out. It wasn't till I got home that I remembered that I have owned the Revlon Photoready Pressed Powder in the past and found it to be rubbish so I was a bit concerned that I'd dropped a boo boo with this one!
This comes in a black tube with white writing on it and on the side of it we are clearly told what it is and who it is by and the likes and contact details for Revlon are given on the base along with being told the colour option you have chosen. We are also told that it contains an SPF of 20 and weighs 32g and it has a see through long lid which easily pulls off and on and the whole thing looks nice and good quality.
Well I have to admit I am very, very pleased with one. Its oil and fragrance free, moist but goes on sheer allowing me to put as much on as I want to and its easy to blend with my finger or a cosmetic sponge. I simply apply this over something I would rather the world not see, a spot, an open pore and it comes off the block of concealer and glides over quickly and effectively and what this does is hides colour and evens out the skintone. I find this very good for using around my eyes to brighten them up and I can use this under foundation, over foundation....on its own, really however I want to use it and it stays put without drying out, flaking or anything else in fact on it feels gently moisturising without feeling heavy and/or greasy and I find that it stays put for hours and hours until I gently remove with my usual make up routine.
I can't shout about this being fantastic as I have used better with a thicker coverage in the past however for light imperfections and/or a bit of discoloration this does the trick for me. It is great quality and I think worth the money I paid for it the only problem is finding the colour option you want/need cos Boots only sell three colours at the moment to choose from however Google for it and I found about 8 colour options!
Available from Boots and other good chemists but the best prices and amount of colours can be found if online shopping!

I stumbled across this concealer accidently as i bought it as part of a 3 for 2 offer, i knew which two products i wanted and by luck picked this one as my third, and am so pleased i did. It is the best concealer i have ever bought.
The packaging is very simple, it is in a stick form, with the brand and product name one the front.. You wind it up as you would a lipstick and it has a clear lid on the top.
The product is really good. It goes on very easily thanks to the lipstick style form, and has the perfect consistency, thick enough to cover problem areas such as dark circles under the eyes and red blotches around the nose area, yet not too thick that it looks like you have thick layers of make up on. Once you have applied the concealer to the problem areas a few pats is sufficient enough to smooth the area out. I usually use it under my eyes to give my face an extra glow and on spots if i am having a bad skin day.
The product is great value for money especially when bought when on offer or part of the 3 for 2 offers. It lasts a long time for me as i do not use too much, so it really depends on how much you use it as to how long it will last for.
Overall i cannot fault this concealer one bit, it is the one concealer i have stood by and do not go anywhere without taking it with me. It is fantastic, i would recommend every one try it.
