My skintone & type

I have dry, sensitive skin, that is fair and neutral.
I use shade #002 Vanilla, which is the lightest shade available in the UK [in winter it may be a bit too dark].

The formula

When I first pumped some PHOTOREADY onto the back of my hand it looked a little darker then the tester had been. Bit of a sneaky trick; Rimmel have also caught me out with that trick.

Luckily the formula is really easy to blend into the skin and has a silky, semi-matt finish which - coupled with the light reflecting particles - leaves my skin nice and glowy. Given my lacklustre skin tone, I think this is close to miraculous!

PHOTOREADY is now infamous with cosmetic review sites for the 'Sparkles'. These are 'Photochromatic' particles that refect the light, so any imperfections are masked. Half of customers don't notice them, whilst the other half compares themselves to Twilight vamps.

Personally, I think they aren't very noticable, you have to hold a mirror inches from your face to be able to see them. The mixed reaction to them suggests that maybe the number of particles vary in each shade?

The wear

PHOTOREADY will last me 5/6 hours, with no primer. Sometimes I finish it with powder, sometimes not.

It feels light on my skin (despite the medum to full coverage), no tightness at all. Plus there are no patches of dry skin at the end of the day, even though I have dry to very dry skin.

The bottle

I love the glass pump bottle. It's very easy to grip and despenses just the right amount.

Price

RRP: £12.99

The price is more then most UK drugstore brands, but for the quality of the product it's a bargin.

Summary: Really works
