Advantages: BRILLIANT PRECISION PENCIL THAT STAYS PUT WHEN APPLIED...

Disadvantages: YOU NEED A VERY STEADY HAND TO DO THIS JOB...

I recently wrote a review about shaving off half my left outer eyebrow by mistake with my little battery operated trimmer - expecting some tender loving tea and a dollop of saccharine sweet sympathy...

Instead some my fellow Dooyoo'ers had a chuckle at my expense at me walking round like a female version of a Vulcan but it was very distressing at the time, honest!!

At the time I was beside myself as it was so obvious what I had done, so I tried all manner of cosmetics until I found this little beauty for mere pennies in that blessed Mecca of Bargains- Poundland.
Along with an excellent brow fill-in powder by 'Vital Radiance' there was also this 'Brow defining Pencil' by Revlon weighing a tiny 0.8gram.

Luckily for me they had '04 Auburn' - a bright brownish shade of an ultra-fine pencil which must only be two millimetres in width. I was over the moon and quickly snaffled my two bargain purchases up ready to try them as soon as possible at home...

The Brow Defining Pencil is a very slender item, approx 6" in length and is double ended.

On one side you find a very fine rather hard black bristled brush set on a metal centre so is quite petite and yet sturdy when you use it to separate your brown hairs.
The bristled side is protected by a clear pop-on plastic lid and the casing for the entire product is a hard plastic body.
The other side is the tiny pencil liner which doesn't look dissimilar to a rocket's body in design, filtering down towards the soft pencil's peak and protected by a dark brown cap.

This ultra-narrow cosmetic is so fine you need a very steady hand to apply accurately. I have done Art to A level standard and to be honest you would need a degree of drawing ability because that's exactly what this implement is designed for - filling in fine lines on the brow.

Now for me this was a godsend as the tip is so fine it gives a really life-like hairline, I patiently etched the outer layers of my brow hairs with this product and it really did give an authentic result, in fact I was delighted!

I achieved the look I wanted which was as natural as I could possibly get with a cosmetic of this nature, and then I dusted my brow powder over the lines to soften the natural look.

You would not believe how relieved I was to find such a pencil as this for precision drawing, folks, as I was trying to achieve this effect with just a normal liner and not succeeding very well at all!

This was such a fantastic find and so cheap it was almost criminal too!

Invaluable for someone who done a stupid slip like me, or for people undergoing Chemotherapy who lose all their body hair the way my best friend Maria did when she underwent that gruelling treatment type for Breast Cancer a decade ago now.

Most of us cherish our appearance, and if a little thing like this Brow Defining Pencil makes such a tremendous difference to one's self-esteem like mine then it's worth ten times that amount in my opinion.

The single only downside is you need a very steady hand as there is little room for error with such a precision tool, but then you can always wipe it off and start again until you are happy with the result.

The longevity is fabulous, I never had to re-apply it as it never melted even in heat, once it was on it stayed on which again gave me peace of mind.

It has to be a very grateful 5 Dooyoo Stars from me for one of the best pound's I have ever spent; I would happily have paid ten times more for such an excellent makeup accessory - well done Revlon you came up trumps yet again with your super products, thank you kindly!

Clever title and great review - If I used this I'd look like I had caterpillars as I have not got that steady a hand .
