Revlon Vital Radiance Smoothing Eye Primer
by dooberry77
I only started using eye primers last year and this product was the first one that I tried. I purchased it on a whim from Ebay for a good price. I had not heard of the brand 'vital radiance' before and when I received the product I was surprised to find that is part of the Revlon group.
The packaging.
The product comes in ... a small clear plastic round pot (3.1g) with a clear lid. On the front of the pot it simply says 'vital radiance' is black lettering and on the back of the pot it tells you that it is a soothing eye primer. Underneath it gives the net weight and says that Vital radiance is a division of the Revlon corporation.
The product.
The product itself a peachy beige colour and is a cream not a liquid. It has a really creamy and quite thick consistency. To apply simply twist the plastic lid and lift up, remove the plastic insert that covers the product (this helps stop the product from drying up) and apply to the eyelid area using the desired application tool. (I tend to use my fingers) Smooth over the eyelid with gentle movements and then apply your eye shadow on top. Make sure you replace the plastic insert to cover back up before closing the lid.
The benefits.
- Can be used alone to brighten the eye area
- Can be used as a primer to help eye shadow stay in place
- Helps avoid creasing
- Can also be used as a concealer (I sometimes use it for this)
Price and availability.
I have only found this product on line and never seen it in store. It can be purchased from Amazon or Ebay and prices vary from £1.95 to £3.99
My verdict.
I like this product and quite often wear it alone just to brighten my eye area and also use it as a concealer. It is easy to blend although it is quite thick and may be a bit too heavy on really mature lids where the skin is really creepy in that area. Read the complete review |

Revlon Matte Eyeshadow
by xxfoxyredxx
I have recently been on a mission to update my make up bag and simply get myself some nice quality make up instead of the tat that I have held on to for years but I didn't use!
I picked this up on Amazon a while ago and it cost me just £3.99 (including postage and packaging) and I bought it in the colour option Rich Sable ... which is a nice rich brown though I could have bought it in Aubergine, Luscious Lime, Peach Sorbet, Venetian Blue or Rivera Blue.
The Packaging:
This comes in a black plastic compact with a see-through plastic window to the top of it and on the the lid of it we are clearly told what it is and who it is by and on the base of the colour is stated, we are told that it weighs 23g and contact details for the manufacturer are given and the lid is hinged and inside and under the pressed colour there is a black plastic one ended soft spongy applicator. It looks a nice compact and you get plenty of product for your money.
The Eyeshadow:
Well this colour is matt so that of course means that this has no sheen to it. My colour is rich and nicely pigmented, has no fragrance to it and clings onto the applicator really well that is provided though I tend to only use this to line my eyes with the colour and use one of my own make up brushes for applying it really, again the powder clings just as well to those too.
Its easy to apply, feels smooth and soft on and does give a very nice matt effect. It blends with other colours of other brands that I use and stays put all day long till I come to remove it with my usual make up removing routine which it does easy enough!
All in all I really like this, its easy to use and looks great quality, lasts ages on and in the case and if I liked any of the colours on sale I would buy more of these though I don't so I'll just be sticking with this one for now lol.
Available from all good chemists, Ebay and Amazon. Read the complete review |

Revlon PhotoReady Concealer
by xxfoxyredxx
Just recently I have been sorting through my make up. I want a nice, clean make up bag with essentials in it and a never fail kit instead of drawers full of stuff rotting that I never use! At I am approaching 40 rather quickly now I thought it was about time I got my act together!
One thing I never really use is concealer. ... I've bought the odd one in the past and never really bothered with them however I do still suffer with the odd spot and blemish and have shadows under my eyes and lots of open pores on my face so when I was in Boots and just mooching about I was looking at the Revlon makeup as I had a £2.00 off voucher I could use and so when I saw this smart Revlon Photoready Concealer that has a usual price of £6.49 I decided to try it out. It wasn't till I got home that I remembered that I have owned the Revlon Photoready Pressed Powder in the past and found it to be rubbish so I was a bit concerned that I'd dropped a boo boo with this one!
The Packaging:
This comes in a black tube with white writing on it and on the side of it we are clearly told what it is and who it is by and the likes and contact details for Revlon are given on the base along with being told the colour option you have chosen. We are also told that it contains an SPF of 20 and weighs 32g and it has a see through long lid which easily pulls off and on and the whole thing looks nice and good quality.
Using It:
Well I have to admit I am very, very pleased with one. Its oil and fragrance free, moist but goes on sheer allowing me to put as much on as I want to and its easy to blend with my finger or a cosmetic sponge. I simply apply this over something I would rather the world not see, a spot, an open pore and it comes off the block of concealer and glides over quickly and effectively and what this does is hides colour and evens out the skintone. I find this very good for using around my eyes to brighten them up and I can use this under foundation, over foundation....on its own, really however I want to use it and it stays put without drying out, flaking or anything else in fact on it feels gently moisturising without feeling heavy and/or greasy and I find that it stays put for hours and hours until I gently remove with my usual make up routine.
I can't shout about this being fantastic as I have used better with a thicker coverage in the past however for light imperfections and/or a bit of discoloration this does the trick for me. It is great quality and I think worth the money I paid for it the only problem is finding the colour option you want/need cos Boots only sell three colours at the moment to choose from however Google for it and I found about 8 colour options!
Available from Boots and other good chemists but the best prices and amount of colours can be found if online shopping!
