Advantages: Quite good price, good variety of colours
Disadvantages: Not exactly 60 seconds to dry but does dry faster than ordinary polishes
I am a lover of doing my nails myself and I am always buying various brands and colours as I love having a variety. With a 2 year old I don't get much time to myself so I decided to go for the Rimmel 60 second nail polish as I get quite irritable sitting around for 20 minutes waiting for my nails to dry. I was in boots and they had each Bottle for £2.99 but had an offer on 3 for 2 and as I love expanding my collection I was more than happy to pick up 3 colours! (red, yellow and turquoise yippee!)
I used the yellow first and was quite disappointed. I am not as gullible so I applied 2 coats on my toes and thought I'd wait 2 minutes and then it would be fine...WRONG! double the time of apparent "60 seconds" and it smudged in an instant so I was not happy. As it was my toes and I'm hardly wearing open toed sandals right now in this weather I wasn't too bothered. A week later I used the turquoise on my hands and applied 2 coats again, waited 3 minutes and sprayed my quick freeze nail dry spray (which I swear by) and then a further 2 minutes and they were Perfectly fine and smudge free, hooray!
The bottle is a cute little bottle, perfect for carrying in a handbag if a quick application is needed to top up a chip and the brush is quite thick and easy to use in smooth strokes. The nail polish itself is of quite thick consistency compared to some runny nail polishes I've had in the past but I'd still advise 2 coats on the nails to give an even coverage and perfect look! The product is good, just a pity it doesn't ACTUALLY dry in 60 seconds!
Summary: A standard product, would recommend for funky colours
