Advantages: cheap and does only take 60 secs
Disadvantages: chips really easily
I do enjoy painting my nails, but find it's often a bit of an effort with not a lot of benefits, as it always just chips after a day or two. Therefore, I always pick out the polishes that take minimal time to dry to speed up the process and make it easier to fit into my pre-night out schedule!
The cheap price tag attracted me to this product: £1 if you're savvy, or £1.50 in a few other stores. For that, you get a sizeable 8ml bottle, which will last a good time, although obviously this varies from person to person, depending on usage.
The bottle is nicely designed: with 'Rimmel 60 seconds' in bold lettering on the front and a long black cap. The cap unscrews to reveal the applicator. The colour is written on the front as well: mine is a dark blue known as 'Blue me away'.
The nail varnish is a good consistency so flows onto the nails without being gloopy and the applicator is good: doesn't allow too much varnish to get on the nails and is easy to use. I'm not an expert, but I find there is limited smudging with this varnish and the coat comes up very even.
The polish DOES dry in 60 seconds, although isn't sufficiently dry to apply a second coat. Still, it is impressive that it delivers on the 1 minute promise. However, it does need a second coat, despite it declaring itself as only needing one coat. And it chipped that evening, which is just so annoying. By the next day, it was so chipped I removed it. It was easy to remove though and didn't stain my nails.
Not a miracle worker and good for a night out. You pay for what you get I suppose!
