Advantages: Great colour choice, very long lasting, dries very quickly

Disadvantages: None

I have a few different colours of the 60 Seconds Nail Varnish from Rimmel and I bought my first bottle of this ages ago in black for my toes. Rimmel is a brand I like as it's at the cheaper end of the market but they still do a quality range of good products and they have such a variety of different things I can afford.

The colours in this range are pretty extensive and every now and again I will treat myself to another one, especially now the sun seems here top stay for a while. I like to paint my toes nails when I wear flip-flops. The colour Deliciously Dark is one of my favourites as it's so intense and long lasting and great value for money.

All the bottles in this range by Rimmel are 8ml in size which is standard for a bottle of nail varnish and they cost £3.79 each. I buy mine from both the supermarket and Boots. I originally bought this dark shade for my toes but I've also used it on my finger nails.

The brush is a good size, it's called a 'one stroke' brush which is supposed to enable me to apply the varnish in just one stroke. I have found through trial and error that this only applies if the nail varnish is a really light colour. With the darker shades I always have to apply more than one stroke and probably more than once coat, too.

The glass bottles are see through so I can always see what the actual colour is like before I buy one and the colour in the bottle is always a good colour match and likeness for my nails. The varnish does live up to its claim to dry very quickly - always within the one minute mark.

The varnish lasts me about four days before the fist signs of chipping started to emerge and I'm pleased as normally nail varnishes last a lot less time on me than this. It lasts longer on my toes.
Removing it is simple with wipes or ordinary nail varnish remover but I have to be careful with the darker shades as these tend t stain the skin surrounding my nails.

I think there is a good range of colours to choose from and the price is also within my budget and I intended to try more colours out soon.

NB - Apologies for any reference to 'sunshine' in this review as it was posted on another site during the height of summer!

Summary: One of my favourite brands
