This is a review of Rimmel Colour Loose eyeshadow, which I have in a lovely pewter colour, number 008 name Smokey. I'd like to appreciate the correct spelling of LOOSE here which I often see spelt as lose. Thank you.

Price
A pack of two retailled for a pound in (you've guessed it) Poundland. I was making up a beauty hamper for a friend's Christmas box ~ we are polar opposites on the colour front ~ and the other colour was 'her' colour so I awarded myself the silver one as she wouldn't use it but I would give it a good go!

Packaging
The lid is a stick with a sponge on it when unscrewed and the barrel is clear so you can see the colour of your eyeshadow and also when it starts to get empty.

How it works
The consistency of the eyeshadow is slightly 'wet' so it sticks on to your eye lid really quickly and dries straight away. The colours I've seen both have a metallic tinge to them so leave a sparkly effect. I use a swoosh on each eye to accentuate the eye line but wouldn't go much further as it's a concentrated result.

What's it look like?
Fabulous with a full face of makeup and lashings of mascara. A little weird if this is the only product you use. So sadly not one to be used in isolation!

How much...?
A little goes a long way! You only need to load up the sponge one time for each eye. It lasts all night and beyond if you don't cleanse it off. I think one tube will last me for around 6 months. It is recommended to change eye make up regularly so you don't give yourself an eye infection so if it does dry up after this time, for the price paid and length open I think that is OK value for money. It will probably last a lot longer though as I don't do the full face of make up every day!

Final word
I would recommend this to a friend. I think Rimmel is a good honest brand and have used their make up for years. The price is not to be argued with although it may indicate end of line if Poundland are selling them off. It is easy to apply, far easier than a liquid eye liner yet you get similar results. I'm not keen on the pink one pictured as it would not look good on my eyes but there are other nice colours to be had in this range.
