... is the name of the shade from the Rimmel Colour Show Off range I will be reviewing for you today!
I love Love LOVE Rimmel products and like mixing and matching with different make up from the brand - I am not particually loyal to any make up brand or any particular product, love experimenting with new things and lipstick is high up there on the list as I like different types and colours depending on the occasion (and my mood).
I was first attracted to this Lipstick when looking for a sutle red toner which wasn't too pink or too RED something just in the middle that I could wear for a semi special occasion like meals with friends. I settled on number 030 Tell No One from the range - which seemed the perfect shade after testing it in store on my skin. I can't remember the price but I rarely ever buy lipstick full price and usually get them at lower prices.
Naturally as well as a well respected brand I usually judge a book by its cover when it comes to lipstick - when you are pulling it out in a pub to top up I believe the packaging has to look good - which Rimmel pulled off with this range. The outside of the lippies in this range are hot pink - with the lid decorated in blended in circular patterns which to me resemble a fingerprint in a way... and the base is smooth. On the top of the lipstick is the current Rimmel symbol - which is a crown engraved into the packaging. The outside is made out of plastic.
You can easily get access to the lipstick inside by popping the lid open - its quite secure and leaves little risk of falling off unless you are violent and throw your handbag around I would say you would avoid bag accidents!
Once the lid is off there is a gold section you twist up to reveal the lipstick - which in the 12 months I have had this particular lipstick for I have had no problems with and the lipstick still works as well as it did on day 1.
One great thing I have to say like many other lipsticks this one has a lovely scent to it - a very light fruity scent which will suit most users in my opinion.
On first glance at the lipstick, it doesn't look desert dry like you see in a lot of cheaper lipsticks - it looks moist in the sense it appears will keep your lips hydrated. When the lipstick is in use it glides on to your lips with ease - and is actually as moist as it looks. The colour also looks great on. I must also add this product gives a total of 30 months shelf life - which is great but I usually end up losing all my lipsticks before the 30 month mark anyway!
I believe I must of paid less than £5 for this lipstick and compared to other more expensive lipsticks I seemed to be wanting too much and expecting too much from this one. It goes on and gives great coverage, colour and doesn't dry your lips out... however roll forward around 2-3 hours, your lips no longer feel as moist, the colour becomes a bit patchy and uneven therefore doesn't look as great as before... Meaning you find yourself continuously topping up the lipstick... not a huge issue to me, but can be a little bit annoying. I would maybe recommend if the lip drying out thing is not your ideal night out you may want to use a lip gloss on top of this - just to keep the moisturised look going that bit longer...
One other thing that I don't like much about this is the cheap packaging it turns out? The outer body of the lipstick is made from a very cheap plastic, you find the outside of the lipstick becomes damaged and full of scratchs and dark patchs so doesnt look as sophisticated as before when you are taking it out of your handbag...
If the outside packaging was of better quality and I didn't drive myself mad with dry lips and constantly having to top this up it would of got better marks from me... Sorry Rimmel!
At present you can buy a lipstick from this range at Boots for £6.29 and there are plenty of shades other than this one available.
I have a bit of a loving relationship with lipstick - I can't leave the house without it, regardless of whether I'm popping to the shop for some milk, or going to work.
I brought this Rimmel lipstick mostly due to the actual case (is that what you call what lipstick is in?) being pink. I liked a similar pink colour in 4 different brands and the case won me over. As you can see from the above image, the casing is pink with a gold band round the bottom of the lid. When you lift off the lid, it is also gold on the part used to unscrew the lipstick so more is shown*. Like most, if not all Rimmel lipsticks, the lid is slanted with the Rimmel logo embossed on the top. I think its quite nice packaging for the lipstick and its certainly easy to find in my make-up bag because of the bright colour - black lipstick cases drive me nuts because I can't tell the difference!
*I'm struggling to find the right words for the parts but I'm sure you know which bits I am on about*
The lipstick costs around £4, I can't find it on the Rimmel website or anywhere else to tell you exactly as it was so long a go I've forgotten! But I remember that it wasn't too expensive. Luckily, it is always in the '3 for 2' offers in drug stores so you might be able to get it free!
In my local store, there are only 6-8 colours in this range, which is disappointing. Although, there are so many other brands around that I'm sure you will be able to find your exact shade somewhere! I chose shade '011' which is called 'Pink Gossip'. This shade is quite bright as a stick, quite warm and coral like in colour - to roughly explain what it is like if you're looking to buy this product.
When it comes to actually applying the lipstick, it glides well onto my lips. I didn't find that it dragged at all or was too slippery, it gave just the right amount of coverage. I quite liked the texture on my lips at first, but after having it for 2 months now - the actual stick has become really bitty. Its a little like rubbing sand on my lips now which isn't too pleasant and the colour no longer lasts! I am unsure as to whether this is my fault for using lipstick and gloss, then re-applying the lipstick later in the day or whether it just went like this over time - either way I'm not too happy about it! However, it does smell really fruity which is a nice change from the usual waxy smell lipsticks have - it tastes waxy though so avoid licking lips!
Now when it comes to the actual colour, I wasn't surprised or disappointed. The lipstick isn't well pigmented, but it does show as a nice colour on the lips. I much prefer the Barry M lip paints for pigment as they are really bright, but if you're looking for a more subtle shade then this is definitely the lipstick for you.
Would I buy this lipstick again? Probably not. I do really like the colour, but as it isn't vivid or long lasting it has put me off quite a bit. I would maybe consider buying another just to see if the same thing happens but I'm not wanting to waste my money.
Having exhausted all other possibilities in my recent lipstick endeavour (quickly dismissing most brands as lacking in originality and excitement), I once again found myself marvelling at the colour offerings in the Rimmel section. There's no denying that the new 'Colour Show Off 'range is incredibly eye catching and by all accounts, consumer seductive, but like most things in life looks aren't everything so I was pleased to discover that my purchase was of more value than just an initial colour induced magnetism, but also incredibly effective in its purpose. The 'Colour Show Off' range not only sports great depth of colour in my opinion, but also has a quality that could arguably rival even the most luxurious of brands like for example, Christian Dior.
~~Packaging and pricing~~
Rimmel's usual lipstick casing design, whilst well made, is often bland and lacking personality in my opinion. With a bright metallic pink casing and gold central ribbon the "Colour Show Off" has almost certainly been given an upgrade in terms of Rimmel usual plain and simple styling. There's been some real attention to detail here, with the inclusion of ribbed spheres around the lid that are not only visually appealing, but also make removing your lid a much easier task even with hands smeared in slippery foundation.
The price is fair in my opinion, retailing at around £6 depending on where you go (£2.49 0n Amazon, bargin!); it's not exactly a bank breaker and less than half the cost of those elitist brands that sport about the same quality of product.
~~Use and opinion~~
The range has twelve different shades, with variations of dark and bright reds, pinks, oranges and one that can only be described as borderline purple. The emphasis here is on high end fashion, catering to those young and trendy fashionista's in pursuit of that all important "London look". I spent a good 45 minutes examining the range in a 'spoilt for choice' consumer like daze, and having had the opportunity to test them all, I would argue that most have a retro flavour and all a timeless sensibility that make them a suitable purchase for every age range or style requirement. Contrary to how long I had actually spent bedazzled by the range my ultimate decision was actually quite hasty and prompted more by the sudden paranoia that someone might consider me lurking and as such a potential shop lifter, than it was driven by any ability to pick a definitive favourite. Most of the colours in the range are rich, bold and as equally tempting in my opinion. Rimmel boast claims of "pure colour intensity" and "unsurpassed colour richness in any light" which I think is a fair and correct description. I chose "Kiss Me" in the end; it's a colour choice that has not left me disappointed.
"Kiss Me" is one of the more orange colours in the range. Sounds a little off putting on paper and would perhaps be better described as a deep, vibrant peach, though even that is not entirely an accurate description. It's fair to say that "Kiss Me" is an unusual and unique colour; it's by no means overly eccentric but never the less, one that is often pointed out in a positive way by those looking to add that little something different to their make-up bag. In terms of skin tone suitability I don't think I'd be out of line suggesting that "Kiss Me" is likely to suit most. I have a very pale complexion and the lipstick never looks out of place sat alongside it, though I would say that the contrast of tan looks particularly striking.
Application is made simple and hassle free by nature of the products moisture content, which is incredibly well balanced. It's not as greasy as a gloss but by the same token it's not as drying as a long lasting matt effect lipstick, just an ideal combination. I find that it glides evenly and effortlessly across my lips without bleeding into lines or highlighting cracked/chapped lips. My lips feel hydrated, instantly replenished and the product bares just the right amount of moisture to give the deceptive impression of slightly plumper lips, which is always a bonus. It has a smooth finish that fills in creases rather than highlighting them, this makes your lips appear plumped but flat in terms of texture. The colour thankfully stays true its original 'in case' appearance unlike a lot of other lipsticks that I find tend to distort or lack the same richness when applied. Making a mistake is easily remedied with a quick wipe which means no sore lips and no having to scrub the overlapped area. The only downside to this lipstick is its durability. Though it does last a fair few hours, it's also one that needs bit of topping up at times and certainly won't last to the same consistency with which it were applied. It's a sacrifice you make with a moisture giving lipstick in my opinion, and one that I am more than happy to make given the high quality of the product.
All in all, the range has been a Rimmel triumph in my humble opinion. The colours are all intense, bold, memorable and some even a little unique. The lipstick is easy to apply, rehydrating and flattering to both the shape of your lips as well as the quality of your skin. The price tag is reasonable and affordable, which allows you to experiment a little more in the range. I would happily recommend this product and would certainly purchase it again.

A good lipstick is the one make up product every girl needs. It can instantly change your look, whether you go for bold and feisty red, pretty girl pink, brave black or natural and nude. Saying that though, it is hard to pull off any of those colours so the decision to choose which one to buy must be done wisely!! I'm always on the look out for a nice lasting and outspoken lipstick. One that looks good on each wear and not just for the first, like some i have come across. When I saw a picture of Marilyn Monroe rocking the red recently, I decided I wanted to try a dramatic red myself!! Daring or Disastrous????
**Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick**
I came across this classic red shade by Rimmel when I was on the hunt in Boots. It was the packaging that attracted me instantly. The bright pink metallic cover looked chic, feminine and daring. Like a child with a new toy, I was drawn right in and didn't look at any other lipstick in the store. I would have purchased on looks alone. That saying "Never judge a book by it's cover", is useless when it comes to me and make up. I was sold, there and then. Time would only tell if this was a decision I would regret.....
I paid 6.95 for my new buy. Actually quite inexpensive for a good brand of lipstick but I would have paid so much more and not realized, that's how obsessed I was with the shiny pink cover. Did someone say magpie??
Red Fever was the name of the shade I picked up. Post research showed Georgia May Jagger rocking the same colour on a red carpet.... proving red fever quite apt I'd think!! To be honest I was quite nervous as to how red it actually was. I'd never done a bold red before. In fact I'd shied away from it purposely. The lipstick did come in other shades, but none as bold and daring as this radiant red. There was pinks and even orange-esque shades on offer also...for the more daring divas out there I would suspect.
I applied mine without lip liner as I didn't want to overdo it and I was already nervous enough I'll have you know. I was perfectly ecstatic though.... perfect texture. This was -dare I say it- the mattest of the matte. It wasn't too dry, wasn't too greasy, wasn't too shiny, wasn't too dull. My goodness, perfection. It lights up your face and adds perfect glamour to any make up look.
As with soooo many other brands out there, Rimmel promise you long lasting wear. Over eight hours if I recall correctly. I din't find that it lasts all night as perfect as when it was firstly applied. I had too re apply it twice to get the same wow effect. Then again though, I'm not sure many lipsticks could pass that test. I mean if your on a night out, you are talking, drinking, kissing??? That's a lot of lip action and a lot of damaging effects to your beautiful lipstick. So I wouldn't expect a 100 pound lipstick to last all night.
Overall I got my miracle effect. The red lipstick I wanted that adds a bold touch of glamour to your look and gives you luscious lips. Perfection in an awesomely magical tube ;)
When it comes to lipstick, I don't buy one because of the type of lipstick that it is, I purely judge it on the colour, as long as it is buy a brand that I like. Since I started wearing lipstick I have always worn Rimmel long lasting lipstick because I do like it and they have a good range of colours to choose from as well as the good price. However, I recently wanted a more bold colour for a night out, and I found that these were available in Rimmel's 'Colour show off' lipstick collection.
They had lots of shades to choose from and I purchased 'Pink Gossip' which is a bold pink, not too light and not too dark, just what I was looking for. I didn't test it on my lips when in Boots looking at the different colours, as I don't with any lip product testers, you don't know who has actually tested this out on their lips! I just test it out on my hand and if I like it, hope it looks just as good on my lips. Thankfully this shade was and my lips stood out so much that I had to tone down the rest of my make-up that I usually wear for a night out, as it just looked too much when worn with this shade of lipstick.
This particular lipstick by Rimmel is meant to provide 'show-stopping colour for a velvety matte finish', and I think it does exactly this. I love the matte finish it leaves on my lips, and they don't look dry either. I do sometimes add some clear lipgloss on the top of the lipstick to add a bit of shine, but I wouldn't say this is needed, I just sometimes like a change and this saves me from having to buy another lipstick!
The lipstick also lasts ages on the lips. As I have another lipstick by Rimmel that is from the long-lasting range, I was expecting this one to not last as long as that one, but I think it actually lasts much longer. So if you want a colour that will last ages on the lips then I would actually choose this range over the long-lasting lipsticks! I rarely have to reapply this, only if the lipstick has came off when having a drink etc.
Another thing that I love about this lipstick is the smell, it smells lovely and reminds me of jelly sweets. You can smell it in the tube as well as when it is on your lips, and the smell lingers there for some time. Therefore if you aren't keen on the smell then you may want to avoid this lipstick, but I honestly can't see how anyone would not like it!
This lipstick is available from Boots, Superdrug and other retailers that sell Rimmel products and is priced at £6.29. Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on all of their make-up products and not just Rimmel. I have looked online at the Boots website of this particular lipstick and the colour is quite different to how it looks on there, so I would recommend actually going and looking at the different shades before purchasing online as they are quite bold colours.
WHY I BOUGHT THIS
I spent quite a few lunchbreaks in Boots recently, hunting for a coral coloured lipstick that didn't have any sort of shimmer, glitter or sheen. I'm a big fan of matte makeup items, but have found these difficult to come buy in your average 'High Street' brands.
It was purely by chance that I stumbled across the Rimmel Colour Show Off range, since they were the only lipsticks available at that time, in the right colour and finish.
WHAT BOOTS SAY
"Lip addictive formula!High-definition colour fix pigments for saturated full-bodied colour. ==> Colour has never been so concentrated ! Velvet appeal finish with Gemstone complex: soft cushion feel. ==>Unsurpassed colour richness in any light ! Unrivalled Colour Show-stopping colours for day & night. ==> 100% Pure Colour Intensity "
This lipstick tube is a little bigger / chunkier than most other lipsticks in my makeup box. The metallic pink case with gold trim is bold, which pretty much reflects the characteristics of the lipstick itself! The lipstick case lid comes on and off easy and the tube winds up smoothly. No problems there!
Now, I've got back to this range since, but the first colour I bought was my bold matte orangey red coral. The shade is called 'Tell No One' and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who loves classic looks and matte finishes.
All the colours in the range are bold, matte and well pigmented. These are ideal for the days when you want your lipstick to be obvious! Although these lipsticks are not OTT, there is nothing sheer or understated about them!
The Colour Show Off lipsticks have just the sort of finish that I love! A rich, matte finish, no hint of a glitter or a sparkle! Very 'grown up' and classic. Some matte lipsticks I find can dry out your lips, or really drag across your lips on application. Not Rimmel Colour Show Offs. They glide on and are creamy, smooth and luxurious feeling. You'd think you were applying a High End cosmetic branded lipstick!
The RRP for one of these lipsticks is £6.29. Not dirt cheap, but when you consider the quality, you're getting a bargain! Choose a colour you love and you won't be disappointed. The lipstick is a good size, so there's no reason why this won't last and last.
OVER ALL THOUGHTS
I'll definitely buy a lipstick from this range again. I'd love to see some more colours available (there are 12 available in Boots), in more unusual shades. At the moment the colours are all very 'safe' with variations of pinks, reds, darker nudes and browns. More shades could be added to the range in very light or very dark colours. If this was to happen, you'd have a High Street range of lipsticks to rival the likes of MAC, Illamasqua or Nars!
For the amazing finish alone, I would urge you to try a Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick!
This range of Colour Show Off Lipsticks by Rimmel come in really varied and colour popping colours, they really are statement pieces of make up.
I do love the dramatic colours, and the texture of the lipstick, which was smooth and definitely not sticky, as some can be, it almost felt moisturising due to the softness.
The lipstick does however smudge quite easily when applied, which can be pretty embarrassing! And didn't last very long after I had applied it, I'd say an hour and I half at the most.
Because I loved the colours so much though, I mixed the lipstick with a little Vaseline on my lips to create a make do gloss, which gave a vibrant colour still, but which was a little less harsh around the edges, for a more casual look, which didn't smudge at all.
I think these lipsticks are priced quite fairly, so are pretty good for day to day use, as you can afford to use it more often than those which are very expensive.
The price of this in most shops is around £5.00/7.00, but most stores that stock Rimmel products usually do a 3 for 2 deal so if you do like your Rimmel products then I would definitely look out for this!
I think the lipstick is very girly and sexy looking, it looks the perfect girly accessory in your handbag or on your desk. It comes in a hot pink plastic case which is definitely worth 'showing off' to your friends, it also has bits of gold around the case which looks so nice with the pink.
On the top of the plastic case is the Rimmel logo engraved which is a nice pretty touch to it.
Pull of the top of the plastic case and this then reveals the lovely lipstick which in enclosed in a gold twist up case.
Over all, I think this is so girly and vibrant looking, it goes with the name perfectly, I do not have any problem what so ever showing off the lovely case.

I am such a sucker for being pulled into things by adverts, so all the reasons above is the reason I decided to get some of this lipstick!
The lipstick comes in a good few shades, they are all kind of the same and none of them are that much different to the next one, the lightest I would say is the shake up pink which actually is not as pink as it sounds, a very soft, darkish pink and I would say the darkest is probably..red fever which is a dark sexy red colour, I actually like the collection of these lipsticks!
I dont think I can pull of dark shades to well so I went for what I thought was the lightest, this was the shake up pink shade.
The tube is nice and comfortable to hold and of course it looks nice in my hand, when first looking at the lipstick I thought it kind of looked 'dry' if I could explain it like that..hmm I dont know, I just didn't think it had a nice look to it, one thing which surprised me was the smell of this, its really yummy and fruity and was really different and nice to come across a lipstick which smelt fruity!
A new experience for me there..
when I put this on my opinions changed completely, the texture of the lipsticks gliding across my lips feels so soft and it actually 'glides' on giving me perfect and even coverage over my lips.
It looks quite natural on my lips and is very nice to just wear out casually, but if you reapply it you get a more deeper, denser colour which looks a lot more matte and more 'going out' rather than just casual, you look instantly dressed up!
The lipstick I find does attach to things quite easily which is a shame, if your eating you will need to reapply, your glass will need a good clean afterwards and unless your OH wants kiss marks all over his face then you should stay away from this.
I find with this lipstick it does not really dry out my lips either, leaves them feeling quite soothed and moist most of the day whilst it is on.
I actually still have a tiny bit of this left, I try to use it as often as I can ( I have a lot of other make up products which need using up :p ) I really like it and would highly recommend it!
I was one of many lucky people to get this lipstick free from rimmel at the product launch - mine is the colour 230 Red Fever.
This lipstick comes in a lovely pink tube with a sticker on the bottom telling you the colour.
The colour goes on my lips a little brighter than I expected seeing the colour - this works well for my skin tone, but for some people may be a little too light. That said it is a lovely colour and I do like it.
This lipstick goes on quite smoothly - but for full coverage it can take a couple of sweeps to get it looking good. I fidn this lipstick a little dryer than ideal, but as it doesn't say moisturising I won't mark it down on this, I'd simply say that if you have dry lips this may not be the best option for you.
I've found this lasts fairly well for me - probably 3 or 4 hours. A lighter colour would probably be ok for longer, obviously reds show fading more than paler colours like pink. I have also found it can bleed a little - not enough to cause an issue, but for that really strong look you need to be careful or apply a lip liner but careful application and I can manage without one.
Overall I do like this and if I wanted a new lipstick I'd consider it - but the bleeding does lose it a star for me, so 4 is what it deserves from me.
This lip stick is a recent one and has been out for only a little while, and my chance to try it was yesterday.
I really like the presentation of the lip stick as it is a nice pinky-red with gold rimming, the colors are very nice together.
These come in two ranges for day wear and night wear, the day wear ones include pink, nude, light brown, pinky-red and the night wear ones include ruby red, dark brown, bronzing looking ones, champagne pink and more.
Each lip stick costs you around six pounds.
I tried some one yesterday, it was the red one which was more designed for evening wear and I liked how the color really stood out and made my lips feel bald and fuller looking with applying any lip gloss after wearing lip stick! Pretty amazing results so far! Also the color is long lasting too, however the shine of it can wear off quite quickly, so there may need to be some topping up there! After five to six hours I still could not believe that the color was still there, cause most lip sticks the color would wear off after about three or four hours - depending on what brand you buy.
This lip stick can be found in Boots, Superdrug, Savers and various supermarkets such as Morrisons and ASDA. Places like Savers and supermarkets can be cheaper, and places like Superdrug may have an offer on this product.
Overall, this is a great lip stick for any girl's handbag whether you're going out for the evening or lunch with your friends. Great choice!
As you will from previous reviews I usually wear lip gloss rather than lip stick, however I do like to try different things when it comes to make up so when my dad won 5 Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipsticks I was keen to try them. Personally I find that normally lipsticks do not last very well on me, they either wear off within a hour or they crease and need evening out, however that was until I tried Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick, it really has changed my opinion of wearing lipstick in the future.
Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick is very easy to apply, it glides smoothly on your lips to give an even cover, there is hardly any need to blend it. I was quite surprised the first time I wore this lipstick because with lipsticks in the past they have always felt almost greasy on my lips, but after a few minutes of applying this lipstick I did not feel like I was wearing any at all, it had totally dried on my lips. To start with I was a bit worried about this expecting it to dry my lips out but it didn't, my lips felt as moisturised as usual. I was very impressed with how well this lipstick lasted, usually with me they wear off pretty quickly and seems a bit pointless putting it on in the first place, however I wore Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick to work and a few hours later it was still clearly visible, obviously the colour did fade a little but I was very impressed with the results. Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick is described as having velvet appeal and a soft cushion feel and this certainly is true when applied it does feel soft on your lips. This lipstick comes in 12 different shades mainly in pinks and purple shades, I have 3 of these Pink Gossip, Shake Up Pink and Tell No One, personally I think all the shades I have are quite bright, but there are slightly lighter shades if you would prefer, as I said my dad won 5 of these but my mum had one of them and the other was a bit too bright for me. One thing I hate about lipsticks is when they leave a nasty taste in your mouth, however I have had no problems with that since using this brand of lipstick, however I do think they have quite a fruity smell to them. Overall I have been very impressed with these lipsticks so far and they really have changed my opinion of using lipsticks in the future.
The packaging of these lipsticks is just as bright and colourful as the lipstick shades themselves, the casing is bright shiny pink with a textured lip and the Rimmel crown on top of the lip. The lip has a small gold band around it and easily pulls off to reveal a gold inner case surrounding the lipstick. To revel the lipstick you simply twist the bottom of the casing as with all lipsticks. The shade is printed on a round sticker on the bottom of the lipstick, the sticker is the same shade as the lipstick itself.
I am not 100% sure of the exact price of these because as I said they were a competition price but I think they cost around £5, but this may vary in different shops
Overall I have been very impressed with Rimmel Colour Show Off lipsticks, they are long lasting, easy to apply, and leave you lips feeling soft and moisturised even though they totally dry on your lips within a few minutes. Once I have got through the 2 shade I am currently using I will certainly buy these in the future as an alternative to my usual lip glosses.
About a month ago, I had my hair dyed brunette, which was a change from my usual blonde and pinks dye choices, and I feel much more adult and sexier with brunette hair, so I decided to keep it form now on. And while I was testing out the millions of make up products in Boots, I came across the Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick in red, and previously I'd probably by red, but never wear red lipstick, as I never thought it suited me, but with my brunette hair I thought I would give it a try, and seeing as all my red shades would be out of date, I couldn't resist.
The colour of the lipstick, Red Fever, was really bright, and although I love red lipsticks, I felt that this shade of lipstick was really gorgeous and a really attractive colour. I know a lot of people don't like red shades, as they can be difficult to wear or don't felt confident in red, but Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick comes in 12 shades, including pinks and purples, so there would be more then likely a shade for each personal taste.
Applying the lipstick was really easy, and although I haven't worn lipstick since I was at school (long story!) I thought this lipstick was much easier to apply, and glided over my lips so easily, and felt of creamy and soft on my lips, which was completely different from other lipsticks I've have. The actual colour was really amazing once applied, the colour looked so bright, and if I'm honest, I have small lips, but the lipstick seemed to make my lips look more fuller and larger, which is a real advantage for me. The colour was brighter then I expected, so I doubt I'll be wearing this colour down to Tesco Express!
The lipstick was actually fairly long lasting, and lasted around 3hours, of drinking and eating, before I needed to reapply, which is makes this lipstick so great for a night out!
Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipsticks cost around £5.99 from Boots and Superdrug, and other pharmacists.
I won this in a competition out of a magazine, and the shade I recieved was Red Fever. I rarely wear a red lippy, because I am not a huge fan of red, even though it does suit me.
~Packaging and Appearance~
What actually drew me to the competiton to win these in a magazine was the attactive tube the lipstick came in - bright metallic pink with a golden stripe down the middle. The top of the tube has the trademark Rimmel London crown on it. Like all lipsticks, just twist the tube up to get the lipstick. There are twelve different shades to choose from, from a fuchsia pink to a pretty nude peach to a cocoa beige.
The lipstick was very smooth and creamy, and kept my lips moisturised for hours. I have a problem with lipsticks, as when I drink and eat they tend to come off, but this wasn't a problem with this lipstick as it didn't budge! Lipsticks also fade quite quickly and leave my lips really dry, but this lippy lasted almost all day! The colour was also really intense and had a nice matte finish.
Rimmel Colour Show-Off Lipsticks are £5.99 from Boots, which is an average price for a Rimmel Lipstick.
Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick
I received this lip stick about a week ago as I won it in one of the many competitions rimmel does on a regular basis and on the site it did not show what the shades looked like so I just picked one and I picked bE bold 120, which is a deep red/pink which when I opened I really didn't think would suit me as I have pale skin and darker/bolder colours don't really suit me but this one was really nice and it really brought out my eyes.
It is really easy to apply and it is also really easy to take off and it does not leave a colour on my lips after I have taken it off either. And I LOVE the packaging/tube it is so amazing, it is bright metallic pink and it looks great. It is also a great handbag size/travel bag size so you can take it anywhere.
One thing that I was not expecting about this product is that it smells really really unbelievably nice, like a really nice bubblegum... and flowers! i can't stop smelling it, its great. It also lasts for most of the day with out needing to apply it again. It also comes in many other colours. And it has tiny bits of shimmery glitter in too.
*Easy to apply and take off
*Glides over my lips easily
*Really nice metallic pink tube
*Intense, shimmery colour - be bold shade
*Smells amazingly nice!
*Lots of other shades in the range
Bad points?... None
