Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Doesn't really conceal, more lessens, limited colour range
I've only bought this concealer once. Usually I use Rimmel's Clear Complexion concealer, which is pretty much the same but with spot preventing ingredients, however, I was going on holiday and wasn't sure the stick I had would last the whole time, and there wasn't any of the right shade Clear Complexion Concealer, so I got this instead.
It's quite a thick concealer but not particularly good at concealing. I use it because it's cheap and makes spots look less red and under-eye circles look less grey/blue/purple, but I don't think I've ever managed to get it to actually conceal anything. I've tried every trick in the book, every advised method for applying concealer, but I cannot get this to hide anything and still look natural. If I put too much on it looks worse than the actual spot, so I can only achieve a "lessening" effect rather than actual concealing.
It's best applied with a brush. I would not recommend applying it straight to your skin - the surface area of the concealer is too big and you end up putting it around blemishes as well as on them which means it makes little difference in the end. Even on under-eye circles a brush is useful to stop it sinking into the creases in bags, which leads to yellow concealer lines later on.
As far as the colour goes, this concealer is too yellow for me, and sometimes looks a bit orange after a few hours. It is also slightly too dark, and I use the lightest shade - Ivory. Rimmel's range of shades is extremely small - they only do four shades, all designed for "white" skin.
Summary: Cheap but not so cheerful
