Advantages: easy to apply, handy, versatile

Disadvantages: none

With the autumn purple and brown comes into fashion again. Not that this would motivate me for buying a purple eye liner but I actually did. I was searching on the Boots online an eye liner which is not like regular pencils as it is so hard sharpening some of them and their point becomes hard after a while. I found Rimmel's Exaggerate waterproof eye definer which looks like a pencil but actually it is not.

Under the cap there is the eye definer which works like a lipstick, you have to twist the barrel. When you start to apply it on your eyes you'll see that it is softer than pencils, somewhere between the liquid and the pencil eye liner. As it has so soft point it can be applied easily, you don't have to push it hard on your eyes for better result. If you would like to have smoky eyes use the smudge on the other end of the eye definer. If you prefer perfect line use the sharpener which is under the smudge and you can draw on the perfect line. I prefer using the smudge.

This eye definer is available in emerald green, aqua sparkle, perfect plum, pink impact and noir colours. I bought myself the perfect plum as this colour highlights best my green eyes. I bought mine in Boots for 3.99 pounds but you can find them in supermarkets as well. This eye definer is waterproof which means that it lasts all day and it can't be removed simply with water. I use Nivea eye make-up remover which removes it easily.

The eye definer is extremely light; it is written on the product that it's 0.28 g. I guess this is the weight of the eye definer's pin as the whole case is about 5-10 g. Despite Rimmel London being an English brand the product was made in Germany. It is advised to use it in 30 month after opening. This can be easily managed as I use it at least 3 times a week.

The perfect plum colour really reminds me to the skin of the plum. I think this is a very versatile colour as I can use it with purple eye shadow but also with brown shades. I like that it makes my eyes look greener than they actually are and give them definition.

The smudge is covered with a small transparent cap. If you touch it resembles you to a thick sponge. It is soft and helps you to smudge the line you draw on your eyes making the result smoky. The smudge is quite big so it took some time I got used to it.

After a few applications the pin became flat and it was hard to apply it well so I had to use the sharpener. As there is no hard wood around the pin you can be very careful with the sharpener. It works easily. I cleaned the blades with a tissue after using it. It is very handy to have it right below the smudge. It is convenient and makes me feel that I got value for the money I spent on this product.

Overall I am absolutely satisfied with it and I think I will try other colours too. My eyes are sensitive as I spend too much time in front of computers but I didn't face any irritation or extra sensitivity when using this eye definer.
