I came across this product in Boots recently and paid £4.49 for a bottle of the French Ivory colour..

The varnish is in the typical Rimmel branding of a clear bottle so you can see the colour with the Rimmel branding in white.

The brush is a wide sort of flat brush which makes it really easy to apply to your nails whether they are wider or not so its just as easy to apply to your thumb nail as it is your little finger nail.

I must admit that the brush was really nice to apply.. I did apply a base coat and a top coat and the varnish stayed on for just under a week without chipping, but to be honest with the colour I had it wasn't that noticeable when it did chip.

As for giving you that french manicure look, it does make your nails brighter but it certainly doesn't give you that traditional white tip look. Having said that Rimmel do have a white tip nail varnish. I have actually used this and then applied the french ivory over the top and it does make all the difference, however it does chip easier as I think its a bit thicker...
