Rimmel day to night mascara

Always on the look out for a great mascara, I bought this a couple of months ago when it was on offer in Superdrug.

**The Promises...**

It promises to give 2 lash looks in 1 mascara. There is apparently a magic double cap which transforms the brush. I will be able to choose length for definition and separation or volume for 15x fuller lashes.

Hopefully this will be as promised, "double the magic"!

**Product and Packaging...**

The product looks much like any other mascara, with the name of the mascara clearly emblazoned on the side. The difference is indeed the fact that there are two wands, and therefore two screw on/off lids. The volume mascara is identifiable as it has a pink screw on/off cap and the word volume written on the cap whilst the black lid has length written on the side, so there is a reduced margin of error!

I unscrew the wand and it looks like any other mascara wand, both for the volume and for the length. I assume it is one wand which changes dependant on which mascara is chosen, but am not sure how the quantity of mascara is changed

**Price and Availabilty...**

The RRP is £7.99 which is about standard for a decent mascara, but there is an offer on at Boots at the moment with £2 off. It is widely available in chemists, supermarkets and online.

**Verdict...**

A really good mascara. I have used it as I would use any mascara and the coverage is great. I have the black mascara but it is also available in black brown, which I believe will be as good. When I use the thickening wand the mascara applies easily and really does make my lashes look thicker. The only real problem I have with this wand is that it can tend to clog. To combat this, I usually apply a second coat using the lengthening mascara which seems to remove the thickness and separate lashes.

I don't believe the mascara is waterproof which makes it easy to remove using my normal eye make up remover.

A recommended mascara
