I have tried hundreds and hundreds of liquid/ gel/ pencil eye liners and this is by far the best, the most long lasting and precise one on the market.
I must buy this product maybe two or three times a year i wear it on a daily basis last all day and all night on a night out,
It is a very dark black which does not streak when applied witch is a rare find with liquid eyeliners, its easy to apply and comes in a rather large bottle for what you area paying its a bargain! I've never known one of these to dry out in the bottle, never makes my eyes sore or runs.
Overall just a great product, essential for someone who needs a good liquid eye liner in there makeup set.
Liquid eyeliner from the 'Glam range' by rimmel. This product comes in a 3.5 ml bottle and is avaliable in 3 different colours, unfortunatley its not in waterproof yet. The fantastic professional brush helps to reduce smudges and smears leaving nothing but the sharpest of lines behind. Avaliable in the shops from £4.99, but can be found cheaper if part of a deal.
The product is a small thin tube, with a really smooth consistency liquid. Unlike other liquid liners it actually has a small brush inside which is flexable and will move with the curve of your eye.The product has a very faint smell to it and the bottle shape means you get no spillage even if knocked over.
Now, for me im very paticular about my eye make up. i like having a precise line that doesnt smudge, And for me this liner is great. The brush is genius, because it is a brush and itsnt like most liners which are foam tips, it allows flexibility so you can create a perfect curve. This product doesnt smudge (unless you get it wet) so you can wear it all day without having to reapply. The liquid is a thin consistancy but think colour. Its great for creating different looks depending on how thick you draw the line. The only downside is that as with any new product can be a bit fiddly to use at first and get use to, but after a bit of practice you'll be fine.
I love this product, its cheap and lasts for ages, i wear mine everyday and would say it lasts me at least 7/8 months which is great value for money. I would definately recommend this product. Everyone deserves to look this good :)
Thanks for reading and rating.
This review is of the Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid eyeliner. I own this product in black, the shade is called 'black glamour', however it is also available in a purple shade called 'intense plum' and a grey shade called 'diamond kiss'. I don't wear eyeliner a lot, mostly just with eyeshadow if I am heading out for an evening or for a special daytime occasion. Before buying this, I had never used liquid eyeliner before. I wanted to try it and felt happier buying a cheaper brand first of all just to see if I liked the look.
I bought this Rimmel eyeliner in Boots and at the time it cost me £5.29. Boots online tells me that it still costs this price and that Rimmel products are currently on a buy one get one half price offer. I think £5.29 is a reasonable price for an eyeliner product particularly as some of the more expensive brands are charging twice as much or possibly even more!
This product contains 3.5ml of eyeliner. It comes in a plastic tube with a long lid. Attached to the end of the lid is a thin brush. I have found that when I open the eyeliner, the brush has quite a lot of eyeliner on the end of it. I usually wipe some of the excess off on the inside of the rim. The long handle is easy to hold and makes applying the eyeliner quite easy.
I usually apply a thin line of this to my upper eyelid just along the lash line. I then allow it to dry before applying eyeshadow and mascara to create a smokey eyes look. If I am going for a more dramatic look, I will apply the eyeliner on top of the eyeshadow. I find that this eyeliner emphasises the natural shape of my eyes and makes them stand out more. Overall it improves my appearance and gives me a more "dressed up" look.
Before trying, I was worried that this liquid eyeliner would be hard to apply. Due to the fine brush and the long handle, it is actually quite easy to apply and I quickly got the hang of it. On one occasion I did get a small amount of this eyeliner in my eye and found that it was very stingy and I had to remove my make up and rinse my eye out.
I have very sensitive skin particularly around the eyes and if I wear too much eye make up it can cause a reddening of my eyelids. As I have never worn this eyeliner without eyeshadow, I cannot say whether it actually worsens my eyes or not! I don't imagine it would cause any problems for those with normal skin.
When I have worn this eyeliner for an evening out I have found that it has stayed in place well and has looked the same at the end of the night as it did when first applied with no smudging. It is also easily removed using my normal cleansing routine.
Overall I am pleased with the quality of this eyeliner and think that it is sold at a really reasonable price. It has made me consider using more of Rimmel's products. Thanks for reading/rating and I hope you found my review useful.

The product is made by Rimmel whom are a well-known brand of cosmetics and beauty products. Their product can be found in various different stores including Boots & Superdrug as well as some Supermarkets. The product is a Liquid Liner which comes in 4 different colours including Black Glamour, Intense Plum, Diamond Kiss and Precious Green. I have actually purchased the Intense Black, so my review is based on using this colour. The Liquid liner claims to have a professional brush for ultra-precision and to give you exceptional results. The fine brush also helps to reduce smudges and smears leaving sharp, professional looking lines. I tend to use pencil eyeliner in black and I tend to smudge this a little so the lines appear softer. I have recently been experimenting with makeup and have created a Smokey eye look. When creating this look it suggests using a liquid liner afterwards to complete the look. I decided to purchase this Rimmel product as I have used it previously in the past and thought it was good.
The product comes in a tall tube which gets thinner towards the top of the tube which is the actual lid. On the tube it states that the product is made by Rimmel and is called 'Glam 'Eyes'. There is 3.5ml of liquid liner in the tube. You can tell this is the Black Glamour colour as all the other colours come in different coloured tubes to match the name of the colour. The tall thin part of the tube unscrews to reveal a thin brush ready for application.

I purchased the product from my local Boots store for £5.29, I did think this was a little pricey, how-ever when comparing this to other brands of liquid liner this is probably actually one of the cheaper brands. I didn't mind paying this for a liquid liner as long as it was going to work well and live up to its claims.
Using the Product

The liner can be used alone or over other make-up such as eye-shadow which is how I will be using the product. I applied all my other make-up including all of the eye-shadow to create the Smokey eye look. (I hadn't applied mascara as I was going to do this last.) I unscrewed the lid to the liquid liner and would see that there was plenty of the product already on the brush. The brush was quite thin so I was a little worried at how easy it would be to apply the product. I started with my right eye and applied the product as close to the lash line as I could, I did this around the whole of my eye. The liner was surprisingly very easy to use. The brush is very thin, how-ever it's not too flexible which means you can apply the liner without the brush flicking and causing mistakes or splashes of product onto your face or into your eye. The lid to the product which holds the brush is easy to hold and due to the slim design of it, it fits in your fingers nicely for you to be able to get a good grip on it. I finished applying the product and looked at the results in the mirror.

The liner looked really good and gave my eyes a slightly intense look with the Smokey eyes. I did find that this made my eye stand out a lot more than what it would if I had used an eye pencil. Due to the thin brush there were no smudges and the lines were sharp and perfect. I suffer from sensitive eyes and the product caused no irritation to my eyes. The liner stayed looking great through-out the evening and it didn't smudge or wear off at all. There was no need to re-apply the product to my eyes during any course of the evening.

The liquid liner works really well and is also long lasting when applied. I do think you need to have a very steady hand to apply this as the brush is very thin so you need to be very accurate when applying the product. If you haven't used liquid eyeliner before then it may be best to start off with something with a slightly thicker brush or something else such as a liner pen rather than a brush. The colour of the product is really dark black and looked great with the Smokey eyes I had created. When applying the product if you get any on your lashes and blink then you may find that this may transfer onto the skin above or below your eye so you do need to be careful when applying the product. In terms of value I don't think the price is too bad as it is long lasting. I don't use the liquid liner every-day and only for nights out so it has lasted me a good few months. The product was gentle to my eyes without causing any irritation and it was easily removed at the end of the night using make-up remover wipes. This is a great product from Rimmel and I highly recommend it to others.

Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Eyeliner - £5.29 at Boots
Available in Black Glamour, Diamond Kiss (Silver / grey) and Intense Plum
I've always loved the effects that people can get after having used liquid eyeliner, and so after recently having laser eye surgery I thought I would give this a go. Now I have tried liquid eye liner before, but because I had to have my eyes two inches from the mirror this tended to end in tears after I stabbed myself in the eye with what normally feels like acid.
So I did decide that I would do it in the day when I had no particular plans as I figured it would take practice. The bottle itself is ling and narrow tapering to a thinner end at the handle that pulls out and ha a very fine applicator.
The eyeliner went on relatively smoothly (My hand wobbled but that was me, not it), and it dried relatively quickly. For me it did go on well and looked OK - but I still need practice, and I still have the issue of doing the left eye, where I did still get some in it. Having said it felt like battery acid when you get liquid eyeliner in your eye with this brand it did at least calm down from the angry red quite quickly.
So for me the product is still a bit if a bust, but that was the application not the contents, and I will be giving it another go. I would reckoned it to people as it seems to dry quickly which can be an issue with liquid liners.
I often use an eyeliner pencil on the inside of my lower eyelid to accentuate my eyes on an almost daily basis I was never a big fan of liquid eyeliners until I brought this product. I used to find liquid eyeliners hard to use to create the desired look as they would smudge, or I'd end up with a line that was too thick, and I also found it impossible to make my eyes look the same. So because I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I found all these issues so frustrating I simply gave up. However recently whilst browsing the make up displays in boots, looking for something a bit different to add to my make up collection, I came across this product and decided why not? I might as well give it a go.
The Glam'Eyes liquid eyeliner is one of a few types that Rimmel produce and this one comes in 3 colours; black glamour, intense plum and diamond kiss (which is a grey/silver colour) so you have a choice although I assume the Black Glamour shade is the most popular and is the one I went for.
The product is in a black bottle which has silver writing on it simply stating that the product name, the brand Rimmel, plus details of where the product was made, the fact we have 3.5ml of product and it also has the little symbol saying the packaging is recyclable. The lid which has the brush attached screws into the bottle. Personally I think the product look professional and is a classy addition to any cosmetics bag.
...My Experience Using the Product...
To my surprise this eyeliner was actually fairly easy apply and following my upper eyelash line I achieved the look I desired (ok not first time round but after a little practice). I think this is because wand is of a good thickness and easy and comfortable to hold and the actual brush is fine and allows you to be very precise. I found the brush was coated with enough product to create a fine line in one simple sweep without needing to go over the line again. The product dried in less than a minute meaning I didn't end up with smudges but just a well defined line accentuating my eyes.
The product stayed on throughout the day and didn't need reapplying. At the end of the day it was easy to remove with cleansing wipes and although I did have to rub a little bit to get it all off I wasn't left with sore eyes.
...Value For Money...
I brought this product for £5.29 from boots and there Rimmel product are on a 3 for 2 offer at the moment. This is the first liquid eyeliner I've been able to use successfully and although I wouldn't consider the product to be cheap I can see it lasting for a long time and it isn't nearly as expensive as other brands. Hence I will be buying this product when I run out.
This product has converted me from a hater of liquid eyeliner to an avid fan.
Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Eyeliner
An eyeliner pencil is something that I always used to have in my make-up bag. Even though I never used to use it that often, I still had it just in case I decided to use it. I used to just buy eye liner pencils, then whilst browsing make up in Boots one of my friends pointed this eyeliner out and commented how good it was. I was very intrigued (especially as I never used liquid eyeliner) and so I bought one to try it and have used it ever since.
This eyeliner is sleek looking; it reminds me of a miniature wand, starting wider at the bottom and getting thinner towards the lid. It is in a black tube with silver writing on it stating the full name of the product. For the purpose of this review, I have actually measured the tube which comes to just over 11cm and so considering how small it is; I would easily fit into the tiniest make-up bag/clutch bag.
This eyeliner is currently available in three colours - Black Glamour, Intense Plum and Diamond Kiss. I have chosen Black Glamour as this is my preferred eyeliner colour. It currently retails at £5.29 in Boots. I am sure you will be able to buy it online or in other supermarkets or chemist etc as well for similar price or maybe cheaper. Personally, as a working mum, I find this price very reasonable for the 11fl oz/3.5ml of eyeliner liquid.
Using of this eyeliner might require some skills and steady hand. It comes with a very thin flexible brush which is brilliant if you have a steady hand or had loads of practice. I had to have many attempts to draw a decent line when I first brought it and it used to take me ages to get ready to go out. I found that eyeliner pencils might be easier to use. However, now I have been using it for quite some time, I became very skilled even with a 16 month old toddler constantly pulling on my leg; I still manage to draw a pretty straight line. I now prefer to use eyeliner as it gives a more defined look than using a pencil.
In my opinion this eyeliner can be used for day or evening make up. I use it in the day with natural eye shadows as I like that it gives my eyes definition. This eyeliner doesn't smudge (unless you rub your eyes) and stays on for good while; however it fades after a while. When it comes to removing it, it is clear that I have it on however it doesn't look as nice as when you first apply it due to fading.
Removal is very easy, it is not waterproof so I do not advise to use it if you going for a walk in the rain. I use make up remover most of the time but used water as well before which is equally as easy as using the remover.
I must mention I am particularly impressed how long this eyeliner will last you without drying out or before you run out. I had my first one for about a year before it run out (not dried out).
I would recommend this eyeliner; very good product for the price you pay, stays on nicely however requires some initial "getting used to it" and a steady hand.
I have used this rimmel eyeliner for at least three years now, probably more, and I wear it most days. I chose it because the brush was very thin and I thought this would give me a nice clean finish and I was right! The brush is perfect for defining 'flicks' or 'wings' as they are often called and you can build the liner up to as thick as you want it. It is so quick and easy to apply after a few tries and lasts for most of the day, even in hot weather although it can go a bit shiny looking. Often in the afternoon/evening I find that I have to reapply my 'flicks' but this is usually down to me accidently wiping it away through the day. It also doesn't take too long to dry and if you do get some printed on your eyelid above it's very easy to remove, just giving it a little rub will work. I just use supermarket babywipes to remove at the end of the day with only a gentle rub needed to fully remove it.
As I have been using this eyeliner for so long I unfortunately don't have much to compare it with, however I did buy a £16 urban decay liquid eyeliner the other week to try something new but I find it has a sort of gel like sheen to it whereas I like a dark matte look to my eyeliner, but it was very good for an extremely thin line for a more subtle daytime look which I have realised I cannot acheive with my trustworthy rimmel but I opt for a more exaggerated eye most of the time anyway.
I think the rimmel eyeliner is amazing especially for the price it is, it is also often on a 3 for 2 rimmel offer in boots or superdrug which is when I stock up on it! The eyeliner does last a very long time, definatley longer if you don't wear it almost eveyday like me! You can tell when it needs to be replaced as soon as the application becomes thin and small parts flake off a bit. It can put up with rain to a certain extend, but if you get caught in a torrential downpour expect to have panda eyes!
I think this eyeliner also comes in a few other colours such as brown, plum, silver and metallic blue and even green and probably a few others. I might be interested in trying plum but I think the others are bit too experimental for me!
I used to use this eyeliner but swapped due to the thinness of the brush. It would be a perfect for people who like a thin line and subtle look. Those who prefer a more dramatic look would need to use a different brush or reapply the eyeliner several times; therefore I would recommend a different product.
The product was very easy to apply and I found that it lasted throughout the day, having no need to reapply. My mum still uses the product and has no issues with it. It is great for a day time look. I found that it did not smudge during hot weather which is always a bonus and came off easily with makeup remover.
To summarise I would only recommend this for people who prefer a thin eyeliner but it does the job well and I have no issues other than the small brush.
I bought this when looking for the Exaggerate Rimmel Eyeliner, and until I opened it at home I didn't notice my silly mistake - but how happy I am I made it!
I love this eyeliner and use it everyday. The brush is really really thin, and at first I found it really hard to use, but got used after some time. The really thin line you get with it is indeed very glamorous and classy, helping you with a discrete-make up look that's just lovely. If you want to go thicker/get more bold, you can use a different brush (I do that sometimes) - the eyeliner still looks great even when thicker.
I also love how it can last all day (unlike my last one...), if you're not touching/smudging it with your hands - I do that accidentally sometimes. It doesn't smudge/go away fast that way either, but it's in no way water-proof and humidity will indeed make it run.
It feels pretty good on your skin, although sometimes I feel my eyes pretty heavy (especially when the line is thicker) - but I guess that's mostly normal.
Overall, I really like it, I can try out a lot of styles with it and I will buy it again for sure.
I have been using liquid eyeliner for a number of years on the top of my eyelids, I have been looking around for a while now for a liquid eyeliner that comes with an applicator that it can use as well as one that lasts for a long period of time. I have tried many liquid eyeliners over the years and I only ever found that the designer brands had an applicator that I could use.
That was until I came across the Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid eyeliner, instead of a brush it has a pen nib as an applicator which makes it a lot easier to apply as I can apply in one swoosh of the nib. I find that when I use a brush that comes with other high street alternatives I cannot get an equal line and I have to make the eyeliner a lot thicker than I need as I have an uneven line and then have to go over it to make it look right.
This rimmel glam eyes liquid eyeliner does not only come in black in also comes in a lilac and a silver as well, but I only ever use the black one personally so could not comment on the other shades.
This eyeliner is easy to use, I would recommend this if you are new to applying eyeliner as it allows you to create a thin, fine line and then as you get better you can then increase the thickness. If you use false eyelashes then this is great to apply with them as it is dark enough to make sure that you cannot see the glue or join of the false eyelashes.
This eyeliner is in boots for £5.29, but I am sure if you look round you may be able to find it cheaper. I purchased this when boots had all of their cosmetics on three for two, so technically it was free which is why I originally purchased it as I thought it was worth giving it a go as spend £15 to £20 I thought was a lot for an eyeliner.
Overall this is an eyeliner that for around £5 I would definitely recommend it, I have been using it daily now for over a month and it is still going strong, so I think it is well worth it.
I've been testing eyeliners for years, switching from pencils to liquids about 4 years ago. The rimmel glam eyes has been rebought many times, a comparative product to the likes of mac and urban decay.
It costs approximately £5 from boots, and comes in a small black bottle, with a long tip. It is a black liquid, which comes with a thin pointy brush. The brush is soft and flexible, allowing it to bend with your hand and the curve of your eye.
Its a very useful little brush, allowing you to easily manipulate it to produce a thick or thin line depending on your wish for the day. I usually use a thin line in the day time, and a much thicker line for evening parties on my upper eyelids.
I also tend to use it on my lower eyelids just underneath the lash line, and even if i manage to get it into my eyes i find it doesn't irritate it at all.
The eyeliner lasts day to night, only coming off if i rub my eyes or wash my face. Its a really useful eyeliner, and relatively cheap and i love it.
I've tried and tested so many different eyeliners since I was around 13 years old and for so long couldn't find anything that was just what I was looking for... As I have quite sensitive eyes so many of the previous ones I have used made my eyes water so much I'd end up with smudged eyeliner all down my face or even in my eyes which irritated them even more.
Since I've found glam eyes liquid eyeliner, I've never used anything else. The soft brush is so much easier to apply eyeliner with than the ones which use a sort of hard 'wand', it flows with the natural curves of your eyelids going on super smooth which is obviously very important if you're going to use eyeliner.
You don't need to apply more than one layer to make a bold statement using this eyeliner, however if I'm going for a night out I will generally apply maybe two layers just to make it that much darker.
The eyeliner itself lasts me ages and I use it every day on my top eyelid with a little flick. It doesn't smudge at all so by the end of the day your eyeliner is still intact and not all lopsided on your eyes. I'm never going to switch eyeliners and have been using this one for years, as its a great price, it lasts me ages (months) and it looks fab everytime.
The only disadvantage is that it takes a little while to dry, so I have to apply this and wait for a few minutes before doing my mascara otherwise i get smudges on my upper eyelid!
Definitely the best eyeliner I've used so far I'd highly recommend it to any of my friends.
------------- IF YOU AINT GOT NO MONEY TAKE YOUR BROKE ASS HOME !!! ---------
Thinking you may as well give up the hunt for a great liquid eyeliner that gives precise results? I thought this was true for a while but now I take my broke ass to Boots and buy Glameyes eyeliner for £5.29 when I can't afford the prices in more expensive brands. The only reason I splurge out now is not for better results but to show of in my makeup bag, more expensive brands are more impressive looking, this liquid eyeliner ain't that pretty looking but it does it's job very well.
-------------- Poppin' champagne, Livin' the life In the fast Lane -------------
Okay, I'm not well of enough to drink champagne on nights out but I do live my life in the fast lane! I go to work then straight out to party so I like my eyeliners to last, not just during the day but in the hot humid atmosphere of local nightclubs as well. This eyeliner has never let me down. It does not crease. It does not smudge and it does not crack, it stays exactly the same as it was when I left home in the morning! One thing it doesn't do fast enough though is dry! It can take nearly a minute to not get smudges on the top of my eyelids but it's not bad enough to put me of it and it only needs wiped of the top of my eyelids, there's no need to reapply.
------------------I'm not pristine, I'm no queen, I'm no machine----------------
As much as I would LOVE to be brilliant at applying make up, I am not. I have terrible co-ordination and spacial awareness and often end up with products on the completely wrong parts! However I find this eyeliner really easy to use, it has a very small (around 1cm) brush which gives a very precise straight line and it is soft and bend so when applying it from one corner of the eye to the other you can drag it across the skin which allows you more pressure when applying it, I find this means my hand shakes a lot less and I get a nice straight line. The eyeliner is not to runny either but glides on nicely without any effort and the eyeliner line can be done in the one go which gives a much sleeker line.
-------------You deserve nothing but all the finer things-----------
I like to look good even when I'm low on funds, this eyeliner lets me do just that. I find with daily application a tube of this will last me around 3 months, which is quite good value for money. The tube does not clump or turn dry so it can be used as often or as little as you like and there's no worry of it going to waste. The colour of this is very intense black and gives me the exact look I get from higher priced products, excellent value.
Glameyes eyeliner gives fantastic results even thought I have a wobbly shaky hand. It lasts me from 9am till 3am the next day and it never lets me down...So If you ain't got no money take your broke ass to boots!
When I go out I always like to put a bit of eye liner on my eyes as I wear glasses and find my eyes disappear if I don't. I have always used a pencil for my eyes, most often I buy a kohl pencil as its nice and smooth to apply and easy for me to use. The other day I saw my 16 year old daughter a the mirror getting ready to go out. She was applying something to her eyes with a brush and from what I could see it looked really nice so I had to go over and have a look at what it was.
She showed me this small pot of liquid eye liner which she had bought with her pocket money. She said her friends had all been going on about it so she though she would try it out. She had bought it in Superdrug for £5.29 which wasn't a bad price really as I can pay that for a pencil if I want a good make one.
The pot is sort of pointy so its wider at the bottom and gets thinner as it goes up. Then the brush bit is inside the top a bit like a mascara. The brush is quite thin at the end of it so you can get a thin line on your eye lid.
I watched my daughter applying it to the tops and bottom lids and seeing as it was the first time she had used it she made it look really easy. The line on the top was neat and there were no bits going any old where, just a nice and tidy line across her eye lid. Under her eye it also looked nice and neat, just touching the edge where her lashes are.
Later on that afternoon after she had gone out I just had to have another look at the eye liner so fished it out of her make up bag and decided I would have a go myself to see what it looked like.
Well!! I don't know whether it was my age getting the better of me but my hand was shaking like anything and do you think I could get a nice straight thin line across my eye lid? No way! I wiped it off with a wipe and tried again but still I couldn't do it, the line was getting thicker and thicker as I was trying to get it to look straight and I was looking more and more like mutton dressed as lamb. I wiped it off again and thought I would just try one more time this time under my eye lid as I like to apply liner there more than on the top really. Again, my hand was shaking and I just couldn't get the line to go where I wanted it to, the brush was hitting my lashes as I was trying to paint it on and making such a mess, in the end I gave up. i didn't want to use up all her eye liner just messing about.
I was a bit disappointed as it looked so lovely on her young face, but I came to the decision that it just wasn't the right product for me and I would stick to the pencils that I am used to. May be if I was 20 years younger I would have kept practicing instead of giving up but I think I did the right thing.
I would recommend this product though if you are good at getting a straight line and don't have shaky hands as it looks lovely on my daughter.
