Advantages: Nice packaging
Disadvantages: The mascara, the wand...
Rimmel as a brand I really like. The majority of my make up bag is Rimmel and I've had some really great products from them.
Mascara's promise you the world, with doe like eyes, seductive lashes and opulent gazes.
Now I know thats unlikely to happen in real life, but my major issues with mascaras in particular is that the brush gets all my lashes, the mascara doesnt clump or make me look like Ive only got 5 lashes and that it doesnt rub off and give me panda eyes by 3pm!
So I thought this new fangled technology from Rimmel would do it.
The brush has 4 lines of plastic bristles, 2 sets of long and one of short.
From what I can understand the shorter is for coating your lashes, and the longer for elongating the lashes.
Personally its a lot of faffing about, so I generally stick to using the longer. It goes on fairly easily and its too thick but it dries quite unevenly so you think youre done, blink and smudge!
By 2pm Ive always got the shadown at the top of my eyelid where it rubs off, and by that time my lashes have fallen under the weight of it.
Once I've found something better, I'll be investing in something else.
Looks wise the packaging is classy and the harlequin lid is a really nice touch but all the packaging in the world cant make up for a lack lustre product.
Summary: I wanted this to be better, really I did!
