Advantages: Bright colours, cheap
Disadvantages: chips becomes gloopy
Rimmel claim that their I LOVE LASTING FINISH range is hardwearing, chip resistant, long lasting colours for a great colour finish. Nice colours- yes. Everything else- no.
I never actually wore nai varnish until about two years ago, infact I used to hate wearing it, I would do my nails and then take the varnish off straight away as I hated the way it felt.
When I discovered nice coloured nail varnish I changed my mind. I have had problems over the last two years finding varnishes that stay and don't chip, and Rimmel's lasting finish is no exception.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT-
The product comes in a 8ml gloss bottle which lasts approx. a couple of months dependant on how often you do your nails- however this is if it actually lasts!
The varnish comes in 13 different shades including the colours Bling, Double-decker red, Your Majesty and Magenta Magic. It is priced at around £2.99, and is available from places like Boots or Superdrug.
My Opinion-
Price- The price of the varnish is fairly priced for what your getting. I would be happy to pay this amount for a nail varnish, especially as others can be a lot more expensive.
The Colours-
The colours available in the range change all the time so its easy to collect them all. I really like the different colours they are bright and I love their names they are so fun in comparison to other brand's boring names.
Resistance-
If I apply the nail varnish in the morning I can guarentee by the next day it will have chipped slighty. Since the product bases its entire existance on the fact it is a "lasting finish" I wouldn't say this was really good!!!
Despite the fact I have a lot of bad things to say about this product, I do buy a lot of them because I like the price. I enjoy doing my nails and really like the colours therefore I am not too bothered if I have to reapply my nail varnish every couple of days. I recommend this to people who enjoy doing their nails as it will chip often. I also find that after a couple of weeks the brush and nail varnish become gloopy even if I havn't left the lid off, which in my opinion is not a sign of a good nail varnish at all!
