I bought this a few months ago when on the look out for a new mascara. It had received quite good reviews on makeupalley.com which I normally find quite reliable for makeup advice. So off I went to Boots to see what was on offer because there's always some sort of mascara on offer. This was highlighted as being £2 off so I bought it. It comes in a traditional mascara tube i.e cylindrical but the colour choice is more unusual. It's mostly black but with flashes of bright pink along the top of the tube and half way down and the words Lash Maxx are in bright pink too. This looks slighly different to the above picture so maybe they have re-designed the packaging ... Read the complete review

My quest for a good mascara continues, and this one is not by any means perfect, but nor is it the worst I've ever had. The advertising states '3X Lash Multiplying Effect mascara with breakthough zero clump applicator'. So how did it live up? Well, three times the volume is an exaggeration by anyone's standards. It slightly thickened my eyelashes, but only to the extent that my eyelashes now had a coat of mascara on them. No more, no less. So if you're looking for amazing volume, look elsewhere. Breakthrough zero clump applicator? Well, I like this. A lot. It's basically a tiny brush on the end of the wand, but the bristles are made out of the same ... Read the complete review

When looking to buy a new mascara recently, I was attracted to the Rimmel Lash Maxxx as it claims to have ' 3x lash multiplying effect.' I paid £4.99 for this but was not too impressed with the product. The thing I liked most about this product was the packaging. It comes in a black and hot pink tube, which looks eye catching and stylish. This may have been another factor in my buying this mascara. Aswell as claiming to have ' 3x lash multiplying effect', the tube also tells me that it has a 'zero clump applicator' - sounds good but did it live up to those claims? Well the first time I used the mascara I was disappointed to find out that the ... Read the complete review

I use this mascara precisely because it doesn't do what it says it will! I know this sounds like a funny statement to make but I'm 62 years old, well past the stage of wanting lashes that look like a shag pile carpet (we did all that in the '60s after all) and simply want to add a little colour to my eye lashes on the very odd occasion that I wear make up. My daughter had a clear out a few days before my birthday in November last year, she knew I had a few lunches and nights out planned with family and friends so offered me a few make up products that I may or may not use. One of them was a tube of Rimmel Lash Maxxx Mascara which my daughter had been very ... Read the complete review

I, like many girlies out there, are always on the hunt for the "perfect" mascara. Something that will show off my eyes to the fullest - nice full lashes - clump free and seperated beautifully, long, curly, and well, just beautiful. I have never been a fan of resorting to false lashes - don't get me wrong, they often look amazing and I am sometimes jealous of those ladies who can pull them off with the right look - I just don't have that confidence and am not sure I can pull off the "fake" look without looking like a drag queen (not that there is anything wrong with drag queens of course, just .... oh goodness, I'll stop digging that hole ...
