Advantages: Didn't irritate my eye's.
Disadvantages: Everything else!
One thing that I do like wearing daily is my mascara, with my eye's (I feel anyway!) being my best feature.
After perusing my local bargain make up shop, I came across a pretty promising sounding mascara, stating that this has "3 x lash multiplying effect" and the even the fact that this is waterproof didn't put me off.
The mascara in question is - "Rimmel - lash maxxx mascara".
Well as the name suggests this is supposed to be a lash thickener and lengthening mascara, and as I have quite long and thick lashes in the first place I was quite pleased with this fact!
The mascara looks like many others out there, wit it having the long thin tube containing not on the mascara cream itself, but also the applicating wand on the underside of the screw lid.
There is the briefest of information on the tube, with much of it being in a foreign language, but the information there states the brand name, product name, descriptions, weight (8ml) and a contact address for Rimmel.
There is also a so-called clump free brush in the tube, so decided to give it a go!
When I removed the brush from the tube I found that the wand is not the conventional one I usually have, but this is very much like a miniature brush, with there only being a thin layer of bristles to use for the application.
Before use you simply wipe the excess cream from the wand (there is always a large amount!), then brush through the lashes.
I have to say I don't really like the brush on this. Not only does it take twice as long to get the lashes covered, but it seems to make my eye lashes quite spindly looking, not at all full and lustrous as they look with other mascara's.
Once (finally!) applied to my lashes, I found it didn't even last that long, considering this is supposed to be a waterproof mascara it seemed to gradually melt of my lashes during the day, leaving me black bits all over the tops of my cheeks, I actually looked like a panda when I got home from work!
Price wise this cost me £3.00, but is available for a little more from places like Boots or Superdrug's.
Would I buy this again, well the upside is that this didn't irritate my eye's, which considering it was flaking off throughout the day is a miracle, but everything else was just no good, so no, not recommended!
Thanks for reading x
Summary: A rubbish mascara.
