Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick

Today I came home from my lecture cold and tired, looked on the stairs (where the post is normally put) and sighed as there was nothing there. I trundled up the stairs and was greeted with a small white envelope sitting on my bed. I opened it to find a lipstick in there. 'Odd', I thought... had I ordered a lipstick in my sleep!? Like most of us ladies although I have my favourite brands of cosmetics I occasionally break loose out of my comfort zone and try something new, especially if it's on special offer or if in Boots and they're giving away a free gift for spending so much or money or off another item or extra points awarded or something like that. I wanted a coral coloured lipstick after seeing how beautifully a friend of mine wore hers, but I wasn't sure if it would suit me at all because I'd never gone for anything like it having stuck to various reds or more neutral colours when selecting a lipstick. I like these lipsticks. I'm not sure that they live up to their "long lasting" claim, mine certainly didn't last anywhere near the "locks colour onto lips for up to 8 hours" claim. Having said that though, I do like this product. The packaging is nothing special - but it does its job. The case is a dark burgundy/maroon colour, and the lid is tight fitting so I have had no "accidents" of the lid coming off in my bag. The lipstick is a nice, non-sticky, non-drying formula on my lips, and is very easy to apply. The pointed shape of the lipstick top gives an accurate application to the top lip. I love Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick. I feel it really does last quite a long time on, and love how I can vary the shades of each lipstick by applying vaseline or lipgloss before or after application. This makes use for my lipstick so I can have different shades and even turn the lipstick colour into gloss. My favourite colour is Pink Champagne ( I think this has been changed to Pink Blush). The colour is intense and I think it suits almost any skin tone. I always get compliments as its such a bright pink, however I can tone it down as shown above.
