Advantages: Really good range of colours, fast drying

Disadvantages: Brush is a little awkward

I'm a big fan of Barry M nail varnishes as expressed in my previous reviews, but they just didn't have a decent red colour when I was looking in Superdrug. I think red is definitely the staple nail colour, along with black, and Rimmel always seem to have lovely red ones, and in a few different shades too. The fact that the product claimed to dry in 60 seconds sealed the deal for me! I can't remember the exact shade I bought as I peeled the label off for some reason, but it was the 'standard' red (very unhelpful, I know).

The polish in question was being sold in Superdrug but you can buy it in Boots and some supermarkets probably sell it as well, as it's quite a well-known brand. It currently costs £3.69 on the Superdrug website with a multi-buy offer of 2 for £5. I think this was around the price I paid for it in the shop as well. This is good value for money as the polish is quite thick without being gloopy so sometimes you may be able to get away with one coat, although I prefer to do two. It's all down to preference at the end of the day! The colour itself was bright and 'true' to the colour in the bottle once it had dried. I've had polishes before which have looked really vibrant in the bottle but really dull once they'd dried, this isn't the case with this one!

As for the 60 second drying claim, I'd say it's true. After 60 seconds it's touch-dry but I always like to leave it a bit longer just to make sure. I've found that if you're using a second coat, it takes a bit longer than 60 seconds to dry, but this is the case with most polishes anyway.

The only complaint I would have is about the brush. It was just a bit of an awkward shape for me - I don't know if it's just me, but there are certainly much worse ones out there so don't let that put you off. There are a really good range of colours so everyone is bound to find one that they love!

Summary: An essential for any nail polish collection
