Advantages: Good quality at a great price

Disadvantages: None really

I've had a clear out of my make up bag lately and thought it was time to treat myself to a new lipstick, something a little classy and more long lasting than the cheapish ones I've been used to in the past.

I'm used to using Rimmel lipsticks but tend to find them cheap looking and wasnt pleased about getting the cases out in public, so I was determined to find something else that wouldnt break the bank on a recent visit to Boots.

Well my resolve faltered the second I entered the store as my eyes were immediately attracted to a display of bright purple cases. Like a bee to a honey pot I was drawn in and started pawing them like a magpie. I was surprised to find they were made by Rimmel and a little hesitant to buy one as the foundation I bought by them a little while ago turned out to be crap frankly.

My mind was made up when I saw a shade of lipstick I loved and thought would look great on my pale milk bottle like skin, a soft light mauve colour with a very slight hint of shimmer.

The lipstick cost £5,75 which is more than I normally pay for a lippie but considering the quality it turned out to be a bargain.

The packaging initially drew me towards this lipstick, the barrel is bright purple and shiny so it really stands out in the shop. It looks classy and more expensive than it is, it also opens and closes with a satisfying click.

The lipstick itself is soft and easily applied to the lips, it doesnt drag and isnt sticky either. My lips felt soft all day and I only had to reapply a couple of times despite drinking several cups of tea and water throughout the day. The skin on my lips looked fresh and healthy after taking the lipstick off and I was pleased to see that my lips hadnt been stained as the last Rimmel lipstick I used did.

I'm very pleased with this and will happily buy it again and recommend it to other women (or indeed men!)

Summary: A great buy
