Advantages: Does it's job well

Disadvantages: None really, I sometimes have to blot to take the excess off

It was pay day and I decided to treat myself to some make up so I headed straight to Boots, I have a slight addiction to lipstick so thought I would start with a new lipstick first. I normally stick to pale colours but as I had a bit of a tan from my recent holiday I thought I'd give a slightly darker colour a go.

As I walked down the make up aisles in Boots I noticed that Rimmel had an offer on their Moisture Renew lipstick. As I looked at the various colours there are 16 shades in total I found the one I was happy with this was 220 Heather Shimmer, It's kind of a pinky brown.

I believe I paid around £4.00 but the lipsticks are retailing at £5.99 at the moment. The shape of the lipstick is pretty standard and is a bright purple colour which stands out so you can find it easily in your bag.

The lipstick boasts of SPF 20 protection and that it contains vitamin A, C and E when you first apply it goes on very smoothly. My lips feel moisturised but not overly greasy although if you keep reapplying it has a tendancy to become too shiny and I prefer a slightly more matt finish. Blotting can easily solve this problem. It wears well and lasts longer than most lipsticks too so overall it does what it says on the tin which is great for the price you pay. Some lipsticks can cost a minimum of £7.99 and not last very well at all but for £5.99 I feel this is value for money.

I now tend to wear this lipstick if I go out for the evening or if it's a special occasion because now my tan has faded the colour of this lipstick can be a little dark next to my pale skin.

Summary: Well worth buying if you're in the market for a new lipstick!
