I need a bit of blusher to make me look my best. I have tried alot but the one I keep buying is the Rimmel powder blush, which is also nice and cheap at 3.99. It lasts really well too, because you just need a little bit to give a pretty colour to your cheeks.
The blush is in a little compact, nothing fancy, with no mirror or brush, but what can you expect at the price.
I love how nice and easy this is to blend for a super natural sheer colour. This was actually the first blush I ever used and I found it brilliant for a beginner like me, because you can build the colour but it isn't too bright and fake looking straight away. It looks pretty and soft and not a harsh obvious colour. There looks like there is sparkle in the powder when you first look at it, but when you put it on you can't see any shimmer which is definitely a good thing if you want to look natural, right?!
The colour doesn't budge all day. Honestly it looks the same at the end work as it did at the beginning. So one little palette lasts a looong time, unless you drop it hard and all the powder crumbles. It doesn't happen that easily, unless you are clumsy like me. But really this is so cheap I have more than one colour so I always have a spare. I have my own blush trio ready for me to pick a colour for my mood or how much tan I've got, lol. Live pink is my fave because it's a proper pink, and good if want to give yourself a healthy glow.
I would definitely recommend the Rimmel blush to a friend as it is really easy to create a perfect flush of colour, it doesn't smudge or budge, and the palette will last a long time. And it doesn't cost too much money either, so what more could you want?
I have regularly bought this blush over the last five years and always have a backup for when my last one finishes. Here are my thoughts.
This comes in a small squishing package that goes thicker at the bottom, it has a see through plastic lid so we can see this inside and also a black plastic bottom with the ingredients in white. There is also a Rimmel crown etched onto the top of the blush. This packaging is so small it fits quite easily into my clutch on a night out. This is quite robust and doesn't smash when dropped. This is type of high quality I now expect from Rimmel.
There is quite a number of colours available and I have found everyone that I tried to be really bendable and to fit quite easily with any makeup. This colour can be built up for a night out or a subtle brush can be added to the cheeks for the day. This is so easy to blend and apply I can do this with hands or tissues a brush isn't always required.
There is some sight fall out we I take this from the pan but nothing major. This does stay on the cheeks though, and does not move even when sweating, but is not waterproof.
Price and availability
As with all Rimmel products this can be bought from the great majority of supermarkets, chemists and also Boots and Superdrug and can also be bought from a number of places on line. I have seen this sold from anything ranging from £1 to £4 and I think even the latter is great value.
This is an amazing blush that is so easily available on the highstreet, a lot of my friends also use this and have all said they would recommend it too.
I first saw this product on a YouTube make up tutorial (I spend far too much money on things I've seen only on YouTube!). It was very reasonably priced so I figured I'd give it a go...despite already owning far too many blushers!
Rimmel is a high street/drug store brand which is available pretty much everywhere, you can find it in Boots, Superdrug, pharmacies and most supermarkets. With high quality and low prices you can't go wrong in my opinion.
* soft texture glides on smoothly and blends evenly for a natural sheer finish.
* long lasting powder that gives you natural looking colour for up to 6 hours.
* streak and smudge resistant.
The shade I saw on YouTube was 'Santa Rose' however when I went into Boots and swatched the shades on my hand I felt this would be far too pale for me so I ended up choosing 'Live Pink' which was much more up my street.
I found the product very easy to apply, although it isn't extremely pigmented it goes on smoothly without much effort and gives a lovely natural glow. Like most people I wear softer, more natural make up in the day so I found this perfect for daytime.
I've tried a lot of blushes over the years, from both high end to high street brands and I found this product to be just as good as some of the more expensive ones out there. The texture was light and smooth and it stayed on pretty well throughout the day. I also got a lot of compliments at work when I wore it.
The packaging is very simple, a small compact with a clear plastic flip-up lid. The size makes it perfect to fit in your handbag and the clear lid makes it easy to see the colour. The Rimmel crown logo is on the lid.
There is room for improvement here, the are only 4 shades available:
* Santa Rose
* Pink Rose
* Live Pink
I've noticed that the swatches online aren't great I'd recommend going to the shop and seeing them yourself.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
These retail at just £3.99 which is excellent value for money for such a high quality product.
I was impressed with this and therefore would repurchase however I do wish there was more shades available!
I bought this blusher as i am often using expensive products sometimes i need to test high street brands to make my bank balance happier.
This blusher comes in a black hinged palette with a clear plastic lid and brand name on the front in silver. I bought this blusher in mono pink rose as i was told this is the closest colour to a naturally healthy colour.
I use my mac blusher brush and stroke it over the palette, the blusher is a lot loser than ones i have previously used. so before i apply it to my checks i have to tap off the excess. I apply this product to the apples of my checks as that is where i find blusher looks most natural. I found with the product being so lose, i easily put far too much on my checks so you really do need a minimal amount of product. The colour is a very pretty soft pink rose colour which is perfect for me but if you prefer a slightly stronger colour you can build it up, just do not go to strong too quickly otherwise it can be too over powering.
The coulr lasts most of the day it, does fade and by the end of the day it is very faint, but im not too fused that it had faded by the time it had come to the end of the day as i would be taking it off soon, but if you are planning to go out afterwards it would need to be reapplied.
Overall i would recommend this product, it takes a couple of attempts to get the right amount of product on the brush for a natural colour but for £3.99 in superdrug i cannot complain at all.
I'm not one of these ladies who can get away with wearing lots of make up and I like to keep mine subtle. I have quite tired looking skin during the colder months so I decided to go out and grab myself some blusher, and my instinct went with Rimmell as I think their range is the most reliable for me and I wasn't disappointed!
Packaging: the blusher comes in a little flat dish with a flip clear lid, and when I first bought it there was a really cute and stylish crown moulded into the powder blush which made me even more inclined to buy it! The packaging is very small and dainty, it slips right into my make up bag with no hassle at all. The lid of the product is pretty secure, I've had problems with other powder products before where the lid open pops open and covers my make up bag in powder but I don't have to worry about this with this product. One thing about this product though is that it doesn't come with a brush, I already have a brush appropriate for applying blusher but in some places where Rimmell products are sold there isn't an option to buy a brush along with it and it can sometimes be a hassle trying to locate one.
Application: the blusher transfers into the brush very easily and is easily swept onto my cheeks for that healthy glow. As I like my make up subtle I only apply a small amount but I've found that I don't need to reapply during the day as the blusher sets into my foundation (Rimmell Wake Me Up foundation in Ivory) and stays there for the full day. I was really impressed with how long lasting this product was, when I'm working a 12 hour shift on the wards I tend to look a little dead by the end of it (pardon the pun) and I liked that I still had a hint of a rosy glow on my cheeks even 13 hours later.
Only a small amount is really needed for desired effect depending on the shade
Great for a subtle hint
Convenient sizing that fits anywhere
Secure lid to prevent product from spilling
Available in lovely shades
Does not come with a brush
Has hints of glitter which might not be to your taste
Overall this is a good product for great value, I've always found Rimmell products to be reliable and this is jut another favourite from their range.
In winter, I prefer to use blusher instead of bronzer because I think it looks nicer on my pale skin and I usually ditch fake tan in the colder months. I decided to pick this up one day in Boots as kind of an impulse buy as there was a 3 for 2 sale on and I needed a 3rd product.
You can get this blush in 3 different shades, one is quite pink, another is quite bronze and the other is in between. The colour names of this blush include Bronze, Smoked Oyster and Santa Rose. I bought the Santa Rose shade, which is quite pink and looks really nice on my skin.
This blush is quite easy to apply, it has good pigmentation so it does not take a lot to come out nicely on my cheeks. I simply take a makeup brush and dust the blush up my cheek bones, then blend it a little.
What I Thought
I really like this blush, it is really easy to apply and it does not take a lot of it to make my cheeks look rosey.
I found that this blush has great stay power, it does not wipe off easily and it lasts when applied all day.
This blush blends nicely with my powder makeup and it looks quite natural on my skin.
Price and Availability
You can buy this blush in Boots for £3.99, this is quite a good price in my opinion because even though the blush seems small, it lasts ages and it is really good quality. Sometimes Boots does a 3 for 2 offer on makeup, so it is best to keep your eye out for this.
I think that this is a great blusher and would definitely recommend it. I have had mine for ages, but will be buying another one soon because I love the colour and it stays on really well on my skin. Overall I would give this blusher 5 out of 5 stars.

I bought this product a while ago when I ran out of my favourite cheek defining powder and couldn't find a replacement. This was a fairly cheap option and although it is a blush they did it in a shade called bronze so it is actually perfect for defining cheekbones. I already have a blush that I like so I wasn't too concerned about using it for this purpose, and with this colour being quite brown it probably wouldn't look good with my fair complexion. That said, for someone with a darker skin tone this would make a really lovely blush as it does have slightly pinky tones to it. There are also two other shades which are much pinkier and would be perfect as a blush for lighter skin colours.
This blush comes in a really nice small compact. It has a clear lid and a black plastic casing. The powder is roughly the size of most individual eye shadows - bigger then a 50 p piece, smaller than the palm of your hand. It doesn't come with any brushes or sponges for application, which is pretty perfect for my as I have a really good blusher brush. I often find with smaller products like this that are relatively cheap that if brushes are included they tend not to be particularly good quality and not worth using anyway. In this case I'd rather pay less for the blusher alone then pay that little bit extra for a useless brush. The only problem is if you are travelling light or want to keep it in your handbag then you need to have your own brush. The lid opens very easily and smoothly and clicks closed to secure the product inside. I don't think this is a particularly great looking product but it is functional and affordable so it doesn't really matter, right?
The blush itself is a really lovely bronzey colour with a little sparkle in it (in the shade I bought). The browny colours in this blush makes it a really versatile product because it can be used on the upper part of your cheekbones, as a blue or as an all over bronzer (for those of you blessed with a beautiful tan). I use it as a bronzer on the tips of my cheekbones because I find most bronzers a little too dark, the pinky tones in this one work perfectly with my pale freckly complexion. The powder is really smooth and brushes on easily to your cheek. It has pretty good wear - I don't tend to reapply make up but this one usually lasts at least half the day.
In terms of cost this is a really cheap product, it is roughly £3.99 although it can be found cheaper when rimmel products are on a deal. It has lasted me 3/4 months with fairly regular use. This is definitely not my favourite product ever but for the price and the ease of use I think it is a really great little deal.
I would recommend this as a cheap product that does enough - don't be expecting something amazing, just a perfectly good blusher/bronzer.
Whenever I apply make up I always use a blusher. I am very pale skinned and do have cheekbones so I do like to use a bit to add a bit of colour and to define what I do have.
Rimmel isn't a range that I purchase very often to be honest. I tend to purchase Boots Natural Collection of cosmetics and own a lot of Boots No 7, Bourjois and Urban Decay and tend to really stick to what I know.
Now this isn't a widely available product and I received mine as a gift from my mum who didn't like or use it. You can however purchase this online if you Google it and get it for around the £3.50 - £4.00 mark in a variety of shades from peach through to browns and I can only find about 6 shades in the range.
The shade I have is Pink Rose and as suggested it is a pink shade. Its 4g in weight and comes in a dark black plastic and see through flip top case with the word Rimmel London wrote on the front it along with a little white crown shown then on the base of it we are told what it is and the colour stated, the size is there and contact details for Rimmel are Given. Please note there is no applicator given with this or any mirror in the compact though it is robust enough.
What you get is a a rather large squarish shape of pressed powder. It has little fragrance to it apart from a hint of a make up sort of smell to it which is light and indistinct and when you first get your little compact there is a raised and embossed crown shape on it which as you use the blusher disappears.
So like I say you get no applicator with this so to apply it I simply use a nice soft blusher brush and I have to admit I rather like this one!
It comes off and clings to my brush finely and easily without dropping off and flaking everywhere and then I simply gently sweep it where I want it to go. It blends superbly well and with very little effort at all and of course I am left to build up the colour as I want to.
Once this is on my face it doesn't transfer off, isn't glittery or fake looking and simply stays put all day long then when I want to remove it I use my usual make up removing routine to do so and it comes off as easily as it stays put...with real ease!
This doesn't agitate my sensitive skin, something I was slightly concerned about when I saw it was a Rimmel product as I haven't liked very many of their products on my face over the years at all but I haven't had any break outs of spots or anything else adverse like that and as a little of this goes a very long way indeed this will last me ages!
I really like the way this is easy to apply, stays put and makes my skin soft wherever it is placed and for that reason I'd buy it again with no thought as I think it is a really good value for money product this one!

I have very fair skin so making my face look brighter and healthier is something I try to do when applying my make-up. Blusher is a must have item in my make-up bag and my choice of product is a Rimmel mono blusher in the colour Pink Rose.
The blusher comes in a small square-ish container. The lid is made from clear plastic so that you can see the colour of the product while the bottom is made from black plastic. On the lid is the Rimmel logo only while on the back is the product information as well as the colour chosen. When buying blusher, picking the wrong shade could be a huge mistake so having this clear lid is a great idea. I have both this colour and a brown colour (which I use depends on my hair colour at the time) and although it took me a while to choose, they both suit me really well.
The blusher comes in a hard, compact powder form which you apply with a brush. The lid comes open easily and stays open if you flip it over while you put your brush to the palette. This Pink Rose colour is quite subtle and not an over the top 'clown' looking pink. The tone is very natural which means it can be used for both day and night looks. I tend to use this most of the time no matter what and maybe add a little more for a night time look. The blusher is also very easily applied. Once you have smoothed your brush over the powder, it will go on your face evenly. It does take a little getting used to knowing how much you need for your skin tone but I have been using this for so long now that it is just second nature.
The RRP for this product is £3.99 which may sound quite expensive for a blusher. I usually buy mine from Boots who have a 3 for 2 offer on Rimmel a lot of the time. If you use this offer and either stock up or buy some other products at the same time, it does become good value for money. I don't mind paying the £3.99 on its own though as this is a blusher which will last me months, even though I use it every single day.
This is definitely my perfect brand and colour of blusher (for my current hair colour) and I very much doubt that I will ever use anything else now unless this is discontinued.
I am usually a big user of Benefit make up, but when I have run out of my usual blusher, I have a back up product.
My back up blusher is Rimmel Powder Blush. This comes in a selection of different shades and colours and I use their Rose Pink shade, as this is the closest they have to my usual blusher, Coralista by Benefit. The blusher comes in a small plastic pot, with a hinged lid. The bottom is black, and the hinged lid is clear with the words Rimmel London printed on it, in white lettering. You can see the colour of the blusher through the clear lid.
The blusher is a pressed powder in the shape of square. When you run a brush over it, the top of the pressed powder loosens up and is taken into the brush ready for you to apply to your face. You need to apply hardly any pressure to get some of the blush powder onto the brush, and a few swipes around will get you the perfect amount you need to apply to one side of your face.
I do not like to have my blusher too heavy, but if you have a darker skin tone or like your blusher a bit heavier, you may need to take a couple more swipes over the powder to get the correct amount for you. The colour is a nice, warm and rich colour, and it has a slight bit of glimmer to add it, which adds a nice highlight and shimmer to your face.
As far as staying power goes, this blusher is pretty good, and it usually last me a few hours before it needs to be reapplied. This is the only thing that stops me from using this as my permanent blusher. Coralista lasts me a lot longer, so I prefer to use that.
Personally, I think this is a good Blusher and it can be a great back up blusher. You can buy this in Boots, Superdrug and any where else that stocks Rimmel Make Up. I usually buy mine in Boots, where it will cost me £4. It does last me a long time, as I do not use it very often. When it used to be my main blusher, it would last me about 3 - 4 months, which I think is a brilliant time for the price, making it great value.
I give this blusher a 4 out of 5 stars, due the lack of great staying power. I do recommend this however.
I've never owned Rimmel London Blushers - so naturally when I saw this on blush on sale I scooped it up very quickly without any real expectations. Got it home unpackaged the very small blusher and applied some - SCORE! We've got a winner!
I was extremely happy with the colour I choose which was 010 Peach. I've always envied English girls (As I am an American living in England) pouting because I too want to be an English Rose with gorgeous fair complexion and lovely peach cheeks. This blusher is so natural and really does the job in giving a very pretty peachy glow without looking powdery. The satin finish does wonders in reflecting light which helps with the glow effect. Overall I would buy this again and it is my "go to" blusher of choice. I would like to try other shades now that I'm confident Rimmel London Blusher are really great quality for half the price tag.
I'm naturally quite pale skinned and hate fake tan so tend to use a combination of blusher and foundation to give me a bit of colour. When buying blusher, my main concern is the colour, as I prefer subtle and simple shades as opposed to bright ones. As stated in my previous view about Rimmel Flash mascara, Rimmel is one of my favourite make up brands due to it's high quality, reasonably priced products and frequent freebies.
Introducing the product
This product description on Amazon details a 'silky smooth powder' which produces a natural colour and glow which lasts up to 6 hours. The shade of blusher im going to review here is called '004 pink rose', this is a kind of subtle dusky rose colour which I thought would best suite my pale skintone.
The packaging is small and fairly fairly simple. A black plastic base which contains the blusher and a clear, transparent lid which allows you to easily see the colour. There isn't really much information on the packaging apart from the number and name of the shade. I've had this blusher for over a year and the packaging has held up well in this time. It may look small and flimsy but it has lasted me well so far.
The Rimmel websites lists the main benefit of this product as a 'healthy glow'. I have to say it delivers on this promise. The Pink Rose shade which I use is subtle and natural looking, it blends in well with my skintone and the soft powder is easy to spread either with a finger or a brush.
I tend to apply about two or three brushes to each cheek which I think is just about the amount I'd expect from a blusher.
I feel that this blusher lasts a fairly long time. You don't have to apply loads of powder in order to see the colour. As mentioned above, I usually apply 2 or 3 light brush strokes to each cheek which seems to be enough to last me for the majority of the day. I actually think the 'last 6 hours' line is a bit modest. In my opinion, it lasts a bit longer than that.
Considering the packaging for this is so small, it's actually surprising how much blusher you get out of them. I've had mine for well over a year.
According to the Rimmel website, there are 6 shades. These are:
001 Santa Rose
004 Pink Rose
012 Coral Rose
016 Misty Rose
037 Smoked Oyster
Bronze and Smoked Oyster are the two darkest shades and the ones which personally I wouldn't recommend for pale skin. Pink Rose and Santa Rose are my favourite shades here.
A quick google search shows me that there are actually far more shades available than this so I'm not sure why the Rimmel website only listed the above six shades? Maybe try searching online for some of the rarer shades.
Average price round about £3. The pots are fairly small and don't come with an applicator brush so this is a fair price in my opinion.
A subtle, healthy glow for a reasonable price.
I think Rimmel products are generally good value for money and this is no exception.
I paid £3 for this blusher which is really inexpensive. I don't like paying a lot for blusher as I find that most do the same job and this one is good. It comes in a few different shades from lighter pink to darker pink. I have it in quite a dark pink colour which suits my skin tone better than the light pink.
One thing that I really like about it is that you don't need to use a lot in order to be able to see it on your cheeks. It stands out quite a lot so I only need a tiny bit so it has lasted me ages which is great.
The colour blends really well and feels soft and light when applied. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin or weigh it down. It also has great staying power and seems to last quite a few hours before it disappears so I don't have to reapply it too often.
I also really like the fact that this doesn't come with a tiny brush that is no use as they just take up space that is not necessary so it is more compact which is nice.
I would definately recommend this because it is just as good as any other more expensive blusher I have tried and looks exactly the same once on my skin as the more expensive brands do so would definately buy this again.
I found this blusher in the sale for 10p in superdrug before Christmas, as it was such a bargain and cost nothing, I thought it would be worth giving it a try. But as of now, I still can't believe I found a blusher that must had been about five pounds and reduced to such a cheap price and it had never been used or touched by other customers!
The blusher was designed for any skin tone whether you were pale, olive or black skin, and you had to do with these blush was just use a certain amount, as little or as much as you like. But they do have lighter blushes and darker blushes too, if would prefer to buy a lighter one or darker one. The color of the blusher is very good and quite outstanding, and another good thing about this blusher is that you can use as an eye shadow if you wish! But I have used this as eye shadow before and it doesn't last as long as if you use this as just normal blusher.
The product comes in about 24 m, so there's some good value and quality there, and it is a good handbag/make-up bag size.
This product can be found in the Rimmel London range which can be found in Supedrug, Boots and various supermarkets such as Morrisons and ASDA.
I would buy this again, but I wouldn't use it for a an eye shadow as it does tend to wear off quickly, but it is a very good blush just make sure you don't rub your cheeks when you apply it as it does come off and you'll end up more pinker cause you're applying more on.
This is quite a nice powder blush although I have no used it many times. Being quite pale I need some colour in my cheeks so normally as well as bronzer on the side I will put some blusher on the top of my cheek bone to make myself look alive. I find the colour is a little strong so you have to be careful to not apply too much first off. Saying that, I much prefer the more liquidy blusher I have from Jemma Kidd makeup, however this is in a far different price league. Also some people do not like having that slight shine to their cheeks as the Jemma Kidd one is more like a lip balm consistency. I'd say this is a good buy as it's relatively cheap, compact (way require a small brush?) and a good colour. No cheap makeup companies make liquid blushers that I know of so stick to this one!
