Advantages: reduces shininess, good price, does what is says on the pack

Disadvantages: Have to buy seperate applicator, easily broken if dropped hard,

I suffer from oily skin and don't wear foundation, so I wanted a product that reduces my shininess and could give a light covering to even out my skin colour. I've been using this particular powder for a few years now, as it's very easy to apply and makes my face look matte and feels soft after using, athough if I have a dry patch it can make it look and feel worse! I know many people who wear this on top of foundation to keep it in place and get rid of shine too and makes their foundation look better than when they dont use it.

To apply I use a little flat powder puff as it can easily be kept inside the lid, making it easier to carry around. Many people find it easier and better to apply with a brush. I haven't tried this yet as I'm too lazy to buy a decent brush! Using the puff is probably quite unhygenic too and needs to replaced often because it gets smelly and dirty. It's a little annoying having to buy your applicator seperately too. It gets difficult to apply the more you have used as the powder gets worn down i nthe middle first, leaving you with the rest around the side which can be hard to pick up properly. I reapply this a few times throughout the day (it can last a little longer than the 5 hours it promises depending on how hot the weather is) but it's mostly just my nose that needs a bit extra as this is where I am shiniest!

I have had my friends dust their more expensive and usually loose powders over my face sometimes (chanel, benefit, laura mercier, dior...) and they are better and softer and am considering saving up to buy a more expensive powder myself as I do use it alot and these seem to last a little longer.

I do like this powder and even if I do change to a new one I will still keep a pot this in my makeup bag, it is also sold for a fair price (£4.50-£5.50 depending where you go) and is often part of a 3 for 2 offer and lasts forever. Make sure you try a bit on your skin first, although all the shades look very similar they do look different on your skin.

Summary: Not the best powder out there but does what it says and for a very fair price!
