Advantages: cheap, soft, easy to use
Disadvantages: none
Previously I have only had one eyebrow pencil and that was the Collection 2000 pencil which I obtained from a gift set. Rimmel is a brand that I trust as I have had several Rimmel products and never been disappointed. My reason for buying a new eyebrow pencil was due to the fact that celebs started to have bigger more defined eyebrows and I really liked the look and wished to create a similar look on myself.
One of the main reasons I chose this particular pencil was because the led looked soft which is paramount to creating defined and dramatic eye brows.
**What does it look like?**
The product looks like a standard pencil it is patent black with a brown lid (which differs depending which colour you select). On the lid is an eye brow comb which is a very innovative and worthwhile idea.
**How does it work**
To use the eyebrow pencil you simply remove the lid and gently stroke the eyebrows with the led in hair-like strokes to ensure that the pencil blends in with your natural eyebrows.
**The results**
I usually add a straight lined edge to the beginning of my brows which helps to define my eye brows and my face shape it makes them look very neat, too. I also trace over my eyebrows which makes the colour appear more bold and thicker. The led is very soft which does mean that it is very easy to apply and the colour goes on well. As for staying power, I generally have no problem as I tend to apply quite a bit of the product meaning that it stays put for most of the day which is especially good if you're on a night out.
**Additional information**
The colours that I have seen for sale is black, dark brown and hazel. I opt for the dark brown as despite my eyebrows being a lighter brown than the pencil colour a darker colour is required for absolute definition. The cost of the Rimmel pencil is around £2.50 depending on where you shop but it is cheaper in Superdrug and Bodycare.
