Rimmel Recover Foundation

Finally at the grand old age of 24 and having been using make up I suppose for nearly 10 years now I have found the perfect foundation for not only my skin type but also for durability, cost and sheer brilliance of use.

Rimmel Recover Foundation has been out now for probably about a year and I have used nothing since I tried it when it was new out onto the shop floor. The adverts were what first attracted me to buy this as Kate Moss who advertises it surely needs this sort of foundation which is said to help you recover from whatever stress you have been putting your face through.

This foundation cost me just over £6 at £6.25p from Boots and I have bought it for about the same price from Superdrug. The bottle is a beige and pink design which is not the prettiest bottle I have seen but that is really irrelevant when the inside foundation is so good. I have bought the shade called Soft Beige 200 but there are lots of different shades for all sorts of skin types. The bottle comes within a 1 fl oz size or 30ml if you like. This is a good size and one bottle does last a good couple of moths if used everyday.

The foundation states that there are vitamins included within the foundation and these are vitamins C and E that are both beneficial to the skin and its appearance. Recover foundation includes the Energy boost complex that re-plumps skin and replenishes complexion. The brightening formula included is used for a radiant and smooth finish. It offers all day coverage and this really does seem to be true.

I apply fairly thinly to my face as I don’t really like to look too over made and I use four small beads, which I apply to both cheeks, forehead and chin. This foundation moves across the skins surface easily and blends in to create a truly natural finish that really does seem to lift the colour and toning whilst offering a really new and fresh appearance to the face as a whole.

The colour I have chosen matches my skin shades well and gives such a natural looking coverage. There looks as though there is a bit of shimmer that has been put inside the foundation and this gives the skin and slight bronzed radiant skin. Even after a bad night of sleep this foundation is abler to make me look decent to the world.

The coverage of the foundation really does last all day as the bottle claims and this in my previous experience is a often not the case with other cosmetics. This Rimmel; Recover foundation gives all day great looking coverage and at the end of the day is really easy to remove even though has stayed put for 12 hours.

I do think this foundation is in a league of its own and really I am so impressed with its performance and I will go on to use this for as long as I can. The price is good and the product is great.

Summary: a great foundation at last

This sounds a good foundation, I'm currently trying to find a decent one so might have to give this a whirl. Thanks for the recommendation.
