Advantages: Lovely pearly sheen, and moisturising

Disadvantages: Not recommended if your skin is very oily, or if you need a lot of coverage

'Rimmel London Recover Foundation' promises to moisturise, revitalise and significantly brighten a tired complexion, leaving your skin radiant and smooth. It retails at £6.65 for 30ml, which is good for what is essentially a quality product from Rimmel. The packaging is simple and kitsch.

The label says that it contains Vitamins C & E. I always thought that vitamins couldn't enter the system by applying them to the skin, but the foundation certainly is moisturing and it does make you look revitalised, mainly due to the little glittery particles in it. This is very effective, giving your face a lovely, almost pearly sheen. It would be lovely on the right kind of skin.

Unfortunately, mine is not the right kind of skin. I need plenty of coverage and I was rather disappointed with the way my skin looked all glowy, but still BAD. This would be better for you if you are lucky enough to only need a light coverage. If you have perfect skin, this would have a BEAUTIFUL effect on your skin.

Summary: A lovely, cheap product by reliable brand
