I have pretty fair eyelashes, so usually when I wear mascara, I tend to go for a thick black, that gives my lashes lots of volume.
For my wedding day, I wanted something a bit subtler, something to look less like I was going for a night on the town and more natural and less try hard.

I bought about 3 different mascaras to experiment with, and settled for this Rimmel sexy curves, in brown black.

The design of the mascara tube is very attractive. Its a deep metallic purple, with angled lid and a curvacious tube. The colour, I have to admit, is what drew me to this one, as purple is my favourite colour! I purchased this from Superdrug, and paid around £7.

The packaging boasts a 'New Triple Plump brush, for fuller, curvier lashes'. The brush does indeed have three 'plumped up' parts to it.
On opening the packaging, I was pleased to find that the mascara was not thick and gloopy. I often find on mascaras that shout that they are going to give you fuller looking lashes that the liquid is very thick, and these are the ones that tend to give me gloopy, or spidery lashes. This one seems to hold the right consistancy.

I applied, and maybe stroked over my lashes 3 or 4 times until I got the desired effect. The colour wasnt very heavy, and it did look a lot more natural than some of my other mascaras. There were no clumps, no glooping, it did just glide onto my lashes very easily.
I do also agree that my lashes still looked fuller, without the heaviness of having to apply it very thickly.

Although this wasnt waterproof, it held itself very well when I shed a few tears at the alter, there was no smudging, I had no brown streaks down my cheeks! And it lasted all day too. My mascara was the only bit of my make up that I didnt need to touch up again before the evening do. And when it came to washing off, it wiped simply off with a baby wipe.

I still use this mascara now, if Im opting for more natural looking makeup, this is the perfect mascara to complete the look.
